Stay away from this place, i went this morning around 10:50 and 12pm, i order a soup for my wife that's on the hospital, some stew beef tail and white rice for me, everything to go. Everything was horrible, the beef tail tasted and smell like rotten, the rice was hard as a rock and i paid like 33 dollars for that and a juice, with that money i would've got a familiar combo at any other really good dominican restaurant. Public health should check this restaurant cuz if this is the quality of the food this place SHOULD BE CLOSE! ????
Seems like it was a nice place years ago.. has lost its light and the food had no TLC.
Stopped in before a concert at the Underground Garage. The owner Jose is a very nice guy and took time to talk to us about each dish. Food is prepared semi buffet style, so the service is quick. Taste and value were excellent.
Food was delicious ?. Spot was just a little quaint. The parking for an hour was about $6 so that was affordable considering the location.
I eat here a couple times a month. My family is Puerto Rican, so this is a go-to for birthday dinners & mother’s/father’s day & such. I’m surprised at how many people don’t know about this place. Owner(s) are Dominicans that came to Philly from New York and if you know anything about Latin food in NYC you know it’s top notch. I’m simple and usually just get the arroz amarillo con carne but I tried the shrimp the other night and it was excellent.

If I was on death row, my last meal would be roast pork, yellow rice and red beans from Parada Maimon. The meat is tender, the portions are huge, the vibes are good, and price is right. Best kept secret in Philly.

I’ve been here before and the mangu was so good. This is my second time coming here and the mofongo is delicious and very filling.
