When I came here on a Sunday morning, all 3 coffee dispensers were empty. They refilled the hazelnut right away, but it took 15 minutes to replace the others. Hazelnut coffee makes me gag.Now stuff happens and I get that, but when I complained, the staff gave me attitude, and snidely said, "It's called patience, you should try it."I was late to my table at the Fan Expo convention because of this, and I didn't appreciate that the only response the staff could be arsed to give me was being obnoxious.
Food was decent, service was very weird. Half the staff is working hard and the other half were not working at all and just gossiped infront of the drink fountain and gave any customer attitude when they tried to get past them to get their drinks, very rude and not sure how they still work here... I would have been fired on the spot for acting that way when I worked in a restaurant.
Easily the dirtiest Panera I’ve ever been to. It’s the closest one to our place but it’s also in a very busy area of the city. Homeless come in to steal drinks and “use” the bathrooms. They will beg from you at your table. Not sure how the management can make it better.
Being from St. Louis, Panera is somewhere that I stop by at least 2-3 times a week. This one was awful -- dirty, out of things like coffee lids, when ordered hot food, it was cold when given to me, wouldn't go there again.
Traveling through Philly and stopped in for a coffee break while waiting to head to DC on the afternoon train. I admit I looked a bit rough around the edges having been up all night. The store manager came to my table while I was listening to a podcast. I at times listen with eyes closed. He abruptly told me he can't let me sleep there. What? His energy triggered a couple barks from my service animal which brought another snide comment from the manager. I realized I was in a neighborhood in Center City with homeless folks. I guess the manager thought I fit the profile. Not cool or professional. I left quickly
I placed an online order around 11:00 a.m. on Friday and it came up that delivery will be at 12:17. I ordered for eight co-workers totaling over $100. This was lunch for my department a very nice gesture from my boss. Well, I followed their online tracking map and it looked like everything was on time. It gave me the driver's name and number. About 12:20 I called the driver because it was delayed and he said he's been in and out of the store for the pickup. They kept telling him it would be ready in 5 minutes. He seemed frustrated. Bottom line they canceled the whole order and refunded us the money at 12:25, no explanation just canceled with an online notice. I called the corporate office, was on hold for a while & explained it to them. The only thing they could do was apologize and confirmed it had been canceled. I called the location on North 12th Street in Philadelphia and the manager (she) put me on hold for 10 minutes. Never came back. I called the second time and got a different manager (he) and told me they did not have enough people to fulfill the order. What a disappointment! And unprofessional! We will not order from them again. There are so many people looking for work, they need to hire people. And if there's a shortage of staff that should be on their online ordering. They definitely need a management clean out.
Went to the store and purchased 5 items this evening. Once I got home I realized they forgot to put one of my sandwiches in the bag. I called and asked for a refund for the single item or a reward for a free sandwich. I was told that I had to return to the same store (I live out of state, which I mentioned) with my receipt and then they would give me my sandwich "on the house." I believe that since it was there mistake I shouldn't have to return to the store. At the least I should be refunded my money for the sandwich, smh. I should have left the store before ordering once I saw the large spill of juice on the floor (no one attempting to clean it up) and trash all over the dinning area. Needless to say I won't be returning to this location ever again.
I received my order and it did not look anything like the picture. I was sooooooooooooooo disappointed, especially the mud soup which was supposed to be onion soup with cheese. Hardly any cheese and I asked for extra. I ordered from the Arch Street Panera in Phila., PA The quality of the food has really gone down. Won't be ordering food anymore from you. I even gave a tip Wow.
Customer service sucks at the Center City location! Standing at the counter for over 3 minutes waiting for someone to at least acknowledge my presence. Worker in back apparently sees me the entire time and gets an attitude when I say hello. "Someone will be with you in a minute." That minute never arrived, so I walked out. I am so tired of businesses blaming Covid for their work shortage and subpar customer service. Customers do not have to absorb your lack of services...either pay your workers more money or close shop! I absolutely refuse to give my money to businesses that act like I'm bothering them. Coffee subscription and my patronage has been canceled!
BAD STAFF WITH A BADITUDE! HAIR IN MY FOOD!!THIS PLACE NEEDS A (NEW) MANAGER!!!!!I'm a Panera Bread Fan and visit them all over the country. Usually they are fantastic!!!!This location is the worst! As with many locations you enter your order first and pay.Hard to screw up, right? Not here! There were five staff doing nothing. I waited 15 minutes for 2 toasted bagels, noting the number of homeless people sitting around eating/drinking nothing. After 15 minutes one bagel was ready, they missed the second and were EXTREMELY RUDE telling me that I had only ordered one, until I pulled out my receipt. THEN I go through the same routine to get the cream cheese I ordered & paid for. Then I get the second bagel and have a bite. Hair across the top of the bagel and it was not mine! Yuck. The attitude was so bad and with hair I considered they might have spit on it too! Trashed it AND NOT GOING BACK TO THIS LOCATION!!!I have walked by this location many times and wondered why it was empty on a major corner? Now I know why. The staff DO NOT WANT YOU TO INTERRUPT THEIR DAY! I will not revisit, NOR SHOULD YOU!
