We did a round trip from Newark on Amtrak and passed through this huge impressive old fashioned station. It has seen days with more traffic than now, so it is built for crowds. Now somewhat empty, but with a few places to buy food and drink. Clean.

The size of the ceilings inside this Greek-Roman behemoth is depth defying. They are massive, could fit giants inside no doubt. Arriving to Philly by bus or by train, this is the most frequent end and start point for passengers and a place I have waltzed through many, many a time. Every time I just look up at the heavens and imagine.

A beautiful train station, well laid out. Easy to navigate. Lots of interesting lounging areas outside the station. Very charming.

We passed through here on our Amtrak trip to and from Newark. This is a big classic Pennsylvania RR station, sort of looks like a Greek Temple. Inside very clean and open. Lots of space and it works very well. Probably because there are not a lot of trains. Some places to buy food and drinks.

I have driven by this station hundreds of times over my life time. My son works at the Cira Center as a lawyer, right next to the station. We parked and walked to the station and it is grand. Thinking back once upon a time when trains were steam. It was an amazing site of vast space and height. If nothing else, take a train ride out of here or to here. You are in Philadelphia.
