I went to New Delhi many times (and loved it) back in the 90’s when I lived in the area, and we came back to Philadelphia for a visit this weekend. So of course we had to pay another visit to our favorite Indian place but were a bit worried the quality may have changed. I’m very pleased to report that the food is just as good now as it was 25 years ago. The restaurant is very clean (and modernized), the food is exceptional, and while the prices have gone up over the years, the buffet is still very reasonably priced. Specifically he chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, chana masala, and gulab jamun are delicious. We will DEFINITELY be back the next time we visit Philadelphia.
Lovely ambient space! All you can eat buffet. Good wines on board. Beautiful people work there. Very nice. Very pleasant ☺ God Bless You ? ? ?
Delicious food! We got takeout one night and it was so good we had to go back for the buffet the next day! Very clean!
Great buffet for a cheap price. But the best is when you get it for takeout. Customizable spice level and many options. One of the better Indian restaurants in Philly.
New Delhi's buffet-style dine in offers a good variety of Indian cuisine at a fair price. The naan is soft and flavorsome, the curries are well-prepared and their chai (though it comes in tiny cups) is the best I've ever had. Looking forward to eating here again.
I've been here a few times and the buffet may not have too many items, they certainly do fill you up and the chai is included in the buffet, with sugar too which is awesome! Also the workers are very friendly, there is even 10% off for students and 15% if paying with cash!
Wow! Best Indian I've had in so long! I love that there are tons of labeled vegan options (order through uber eats). We got the biryani, baingan bharta, and saag aloo, and were blown away. Everything was packed with flavor and the portions are large. This place will be a new staple in my life!
I eat here because it's all you can eat. However, I wish they switch the menu up and feature other authentic Indian dishes. I'd pay an extra $5 for that experience.
Wonderful, flavorful food in a relaxed environment. The buffet is open, you must wear a mask and get a new plate when going to the buffet. They have a good selection of dishes at the buffet. It is an all day buffet. I will definitely be back here.
I am definitely glad I went. I haven't been to New Delhi since 2019 & the food was just as great as I remember. The buffet was excellent and I loved the Chicken Tikka Marsala.
