Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Went there for years, and when I moved away from Philly, I used to go there every time I'd come back. Apparently I'm no longer allowed in as I was refused entry this weekend. Very disappointing.EDIT: The food isn't worth risking myocarditis, heart inflammation, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, or facial paralysis. Go support a local business that looks out for their customers' wellbeing, rather than people who just want to toe the government line. Following unscientific, unproven protocols that risk your life - you keep doing that, funny guy, and those of us with actual brains will be dining elsewhere.

I needed a pretzel from Philly, and this was a good place to get it. You'll love the name, and if the other reviews didn't spoil it, you won't get a spoiler from me.Their wings were great, too, and the service was awesome. The bathrooms are super cool, and I appreciate how they label the doors.

Part of a group of 11 on a Friday night with reservations for drinks/dinner. Greeted, seated & drinks with appetizer orders taken promptly. Then . . . 1 of 3 Bavarian pretzels burned to inedible. Getting re-fills for drinks was a challenge & it took multiple requests for a water. Food came out in good order & was tasty. Sound system was at a level that was great for dancing but way too high for conversation. Approximately 3/4 full whole time we were there. All in all, average.

Great atmosphere, great food and friendly staff.

Awesome place! Great drinks and food.

fantastic bloody marys, great food, a wonderful old building

Gonna be honest with you. I emailed the event coordinator to see if they could accommodate a party of 25-30. After her asking a bunch of questions, she never responded back to my email (a bit unprofessional). Went in to check out how much space was there after they denied serving our group showing up since she never replied to my email (there was plenty of space after inspection and the place remained fairly empty)Apparently they don't want our money. Our group is fully vaxxed, masked and respectful of other peoples spaces

The staff was incredible, the pretzel was huge and really good. They had a pretty decent beer selection. It was a really nice place to hang out. Definitely look forward to stopping by

I love National Mechanics! I highly recommend the Giant Bavarian Pretzel (make sure to dip in the cheese while it's still warm) and their amazing Veggie Burger (I love it with bacon and/or avocado). You can find me at National every Wednesday night starting in February 2022 for a new bar competition.

MUST SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION TO ENTER !!!My husband and I remembered having a good bloody Mary here in the past so when we were in town today we made the 20 minute walk to return for a bloody mary and brunch. How disappointed we were when we arrived and found that we cannot enter without proof of vaccination. It has been stated that the vaccine does not stop you from getting covid. That presents a false sense of security for diners and staff alike. Unfortunately, this means we will not be able to return to this establishment. We did have brunch at a fabulous little Mexican restaurant across the street that I would highly recommend.
