Here's my experience with this place. Wanted take out. No one picked up the phone when calling either the number on Google or on their own website. Decided to go and eat in and arrived at 7. Stood 15 minutes in the doorway for a table, which is out of their control. What they can control is the fact that we sat at an outside table for 30 minutes and not one person came to give water, take our order, acknowledge the wait, etc. Nothing.

Honestly, WOAH! I quite literally returned a week ago from Italy; and I can say with absolutely certainty, that the pasta here practically surpasses what I had IN Italy. Really I'm blown away the quality and freshness, just every dish we got was phenomenal. BELLA! I will be returning here as often as possible!!P.S. that bartender Avery is fantastic throw him some bills!

Five of us visited Murph's Wednesday night for drinks & dinner. We all had a great time we all ordered different appetizers & sampled them all, there were very good. We did the same for dinner and wasn't disappointed . Ordered deserts which completed a perfect meal. Will certainly be going back again.

My wife went there again and as always it delicious. When you walk into a bar called Murph's and you would expect Irish or bar food. The best Italian food around, the home made pastas are incredible. I had the Bronzino and my wife the lamb chops along with a few apps. All were great.

Had a really awesome time here the other day. Got a perfect carbonara that I still think about some nights. Definitely worth many return trips. We sat in a really great outdoor section in the very back, but I’ve also had a great experience sitting at the bar years ago. FYI the meatballs are god-tier. Gnocchi are incredible. Ricotta cheese is perfection. Honestly such a great spot with reasonable prices for proper portions. Cash only, but well worth the ATM trip on the walk there.

A dive-bar with exceptional Italian food? What the heck! This place is one of my new favorites in Northern Liberties / Fishtown! The service was great. The eggplant app and gnocchi were exceptional! Stopped by on a rainy Saturday afternoon and had no wait.

Great dive bar with high quality Italian food at very reasonable prices.

Great atmosphere and great food! Service was great!

Stopped here on a whim as it was nearby my Air BNB...I'm from NC but will be spending some time in Philly over the next few months and I will absolutely be coming back to Murph's! Cheap booze with a decent selection, comfortable but divey atmosphere (LOVE), and the best lobster ravioli I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

I mean, at this point everyone knows how good Murph's is. They take reservations for groups 6+ (I think) and will also require family style for parties of 6+ but it's a great way to try lots of thing. If you don't have a reservation and you go at peak dinner hours, you can definitely anticipate a wait as there's not a ton of seating - but it's so worth it. The murph's pasta is my go-to, but it's everyone's go-to and if it's sold out, I usually get the Gargenelli Amatriciana Taratina. It's similar. Also, cannot go wrong with the lobster ravioli or any of the gnocchi dishes. And the fried mozzarella. I am usually not one to order mozzarella sticks but this is next level. Love you, Murph's!
