I feel like 3 stars is probably still too much.... But I'm only putting 3stars because the food is still eatable....The rice and beans wasn't freshly made... It looked and tasted pretty aged. On top of the dry rice and beans where giving very much left overs flavor... No flavor from the rice at all... Just taste like unseasoned rice and beans....I didn't over react to it because sometimes unflavored rice happens, and usually I would use the sauce from the chicken to sauce the rice up...But the chicken had no sauce, it was pretty dry with lacking flavor as well.I loved the plaintains... It needed little salt but it was still good.They gave me a side of curry sauce in a small container... I never knew Haitians even messed with curry. I really wanted some authentic Haitian food but this Definitely didn't match the criteria of what I wanted....You're representing a culture when you serve the food... I want to be able to take people to a good Haitian restaurant and to show them how good our food can be.... But I barely seen any efforts with my platter.I know running a restaurant is hard... But the hard work will be worth it when you're more dedicated in representing the culture and business.Please don't give up in the grace of God and show the curious customers or Americans how good our food can be.We already have so many bad Haitian restaurants that isn't authentic. But the dish you made was close enough... but it lacked so much efforts which sucked.Make fresh rice....Make sauce for the chicken....And just make it how you would want to eat it yourself.No Haitian person would want to eat dry rice and chicken... Especially if the chicken has no sauce?
The food is delicious and the place is clean. It only took 5 minutes to get our foods and it was well presented.
