What a wonderful experience my sister and I had having breakfast this morning at the restaurant. The food is second to none ,the owner and the grandson Made you feel like you were sitting at your kitchen table eating breakfast. Very humble environment to sit and have breakfast and talk about the olden day. Everything was so taste the homemade biscuits make you slap somebody.I will be back Delaware is just a hop skip away. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality may God continue to bless you and yours
My Dad and I shared breakfast here while waiting for a loved one to complete surgery at Penn Hospital. It was a great respite from the anxiety of status updates at the hospital. Our breakfast platter was good. We cleaned our plates of everything. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and various fruit toppings that our friendly waiter encouraged us to try. He was so kind and patient. Made us feel welcome. I think the service made our dining time even better.
Great spot. Really creative menu, very well executed. Way more than the word “diner” implies. Biscuits, pancakes, housemade sausage, was all delicious.
A group of friends and I went here and this is now one of my favorite spots in Philly. The staff was very friendly and took very good care of us. It is cash only so be aware of that before you go. They also have an ATM there I think if you don't have any on you. Definitely get a biscuit with whatever you order they're so good.
don't let the outside fool you. it's tight and dark and unimpressive, but the food is all that matters. my first visit won't be my last. best way to visit Morning Glory is to sit at the counter and watch everything being made while you wait. you'll appreciate the food even more that way. love the old-school metal coffee mugs. staff is very friendly even though they all look like the just woke up and grabbed the first clothes they found from the night before. looking forward to going back.
One of, if not the, best brunches I've ever had. Could NOT recommend this place more. I walked here with my friend not knowing what to expect, but WOW were we blown away. I got a steak and eggs, which came with roasted potatoes and homemade ketchup, and an ENORMOUS biscuit with peach mango jam. My friend had a biscuit loaded with whipped cream and fresh blueberries and strawberries. Holy cow. It was beautiful. Please come here and bring cash!
Super cozy vibes, good crowd and solid food. The cannoli filling as a side for the pancakes was a clutch move.
I absolutely love this place!! it's just down the street and I swear... they have the best breakfast ever!! If your in the area, you have to stop by!
Absolutely worth the walk! We were in Philly and had a craving for breakfast. Tasty. Flavorful. Home made jam. Tall biscuits. Wonderful service. Next time we're in town, we'll be back.
What a great find! Food was amazing and the service was awesome! The biscuits are incredible, the frittata was delicious! Highly recommend this hidden gem for any one who is a breakfast lover.
