Morimoto gave us the best anniversary dinner of our lives. The Morimoto omakase was full of diverse flavors that were unbelievably layered and delicious. Both of us agreed that the dessert was particularly incredible. Personally, we would say the experience was life changing. The service was incredible, and they were very polite and thoughtful to us. We hope to come back again soon!
Unfortunately, we had a poor experience and didnât get a chance to try the food because the waiter was so unpleasant. As soon as we were seated he approached us and appeared as if he did not want to be our server. He was very dismissive and would rudely answer questions we had regarding the menu. For instance, I asked if they served hot sake and he replied they did but itâs not on the menu so when I followed up to ask what brand it was he just repeated âitâs not on the menuâ. I initially disregarded and thought maybe he misunderstood my question but when I tried to clarify he walked away in the middle of me speaking. He returned and we asked about the hot sake and he repeated we have it but itâs not on the menu. This was confusing, why not just tell us about it if itâs not on the menu. We decided to not order a drink and order food. When trying to order food he abruptly left again. After returning we asked about the duck and he read the menu in front of us as if we could not read. We asked about how it was brought out (it was two parts) and cooked and he refused to answer. Feeling uncomfortable we decided to ask about the sushi, he read the menu, looked at us and asked if we understood. We informed him we have had sushi before, but he was very dismissive, rude, abrupt and demeaning in his communication and overall behavior. This was our first time visiting Morimoto so of course we would have questions. Also, itâs as if he did not want to serve us or had assumptions about our character at first sight. Maybe this restaurant doesnât receive many black customers or the waiter feels uncomfortable serving black customers. Maybe he was having a bad night. Either way It was a very embarrassing experience and we decided to leave without ordering.
Great to celebrate my birthday with close friends. Great vegetarian options. Beautifully presented & so fresh.
We come every several months, and have never been disappointed. Service is unobtrusive and very helpful. Cooked items, like Wagyu dumplings, black cod miso, Rohan duck and seafood Toban Yaki were wonderful. Of course you also have to have the sushi and sashimi, as it is of a quality that must be tasted and experienced. we always go with the chef's combination platter, then add the soft-shell crab roll. Needless to say, we will be back again.
Best food in a long time!
Absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food is off the chain delicious and the service is beyond amazing.
Enjoyed every course . Thank you for food.
Server was very knowledgeable of the menu. Gave great recommendations. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts came out at a good pace. Ambiance is very nice, modern and calming. Food tasted amazing. 10/10 would come again.
We are regulars because we love the entire experience!
It's on the expensive side but to us it was worth it. 2 of us availed the $165 omakase it was all good. The Fiery Chocolate dessert was a good finish to our meal. Mr. Morimoto knew and still knows what's he doing with food. I notice the quality of ingredients used, knowledgeable and friendly hosts and waitstaff.
