The last time I was in Moriarty's was 2007... I lived in Philly from 1993 to 2000 when I returned home to California. I try wings any chance I get and after 22 years I still haven't found one's as good. Maybe I am looking for the taste of nostalgia. A happier and less complicated time. Nevertheless these wings and a good beer are worth traveling for almost 30y later! Cheers!
I'm 36 now but had my first legal drink here at midnight when I turned 21. The bartender made sure I had a great time that night. I go back home to Philly once a year or so and have always made sure to return here.Pro tip: They make the best wings I've ever had. Definitely get them.
Terrible service. Granted we went during Philly pride festival and it was busy but, our secret was terrible and either didn't know how to do her job or didn't care. We were seated for quite some time before she finally came to our table. She took our drink and food orders. After 20 minutes I had to flag her down to ask where our drinks (soda and water) were. Someone else brought our food out. We had no silverware or napkins. There was no dressing on the salad. Our server walked by our table several times and basically acted like we we're an ex boyfriend she didn't want to acknowledge. Never once asked if everything was ok.
Stopped in for dinner and drinks. It was AWESOME in every way. Got the Philly Philly and my wife got the Carolina Burger. Both were perfect and absolutely delicious! Our server was super cool and took very good care of us. Sorry I don't remember her name, but she definitely made the vibe that much better. We're only visiting for a couple of days, but it will definitely be a stop for us the next time we're in Philly.
This is a phenomenal place to go to.Excellent Pub food and an awesome bar to just hang out.You will never be disappointed with the food or service at this Center City Philly favorite. The free foot massages on a Wednesday are perfect for that "mid-week" aches.Ask your host or server for that special treatment.P.S. I always get the "red rose scent"
I usually only write positive reviews, but this was honestly the worst service I've ever had. I would understand accommodating a large table can be troublesome. However, sorting out individual costs was a nightmare because we had no option but to have everything on one bill and had to do the math on our own. That alone wasn't what made me write this review. It was because they (seemingly) attempted to sneak in a charge for drinks we did not receive in the first place that irks me. Luckily, we caught those errors, but that whole thing comes off as slippery.Great food, cool ambiance, questionable service.
Came here for drinks. The bartender was very friendly. I asked her to make me anything she wanted and she made 2 fabulous drinks. My friend order fries and they were perfect.
Classic cozy Irish pub offers a full menu of Irish-American appetizers and entrees. A large stock of liquors line the mirrored bar back behind a variety of tap and bottle beer options. Cushioned fabric seat bar stools match beautifully with the dark stained wooden architectural details. Gentle lighting over tables and high tops for a warm dining experience.
My husband and I attended this “establishment” for our date night out. We were wildly disappointed. It’s clear from the 4 hours we spent here that no one knows what’s going on here at all. We were faced with unfriendly faces who looked annoyed to be alive, with every encounter we faced here with the one exception of the hostess, Darby. We ordered the wings, dry, bare, nothing special. Our meals were both unfortunately of the same caliber. We considered going to management until seeing management screaming at two servers in front of not only mine but every other table in that section. It wasn’t until then we figured out why everyone looked so miserable. 0/10 stars Would not come back if you paid me, hell I made a Google account just to make this review. Truly appalled
The service is always great when new and my partner go there. The Fish & Chips unfortunately tastes like a Sysco/U.S. Foods prepared fishsticks. The wings are good. The Ale house sandwich is good. The Brew City fries weren't my favorite. When I eat fries, I like to taste the potato, but people seem to like them in Philadelphia because a good number of restaurants use them.
