my husband and I have been here 4 times now. each time, we have definitely seen improvements with their dishes. whether that's in flavor, temperature, doneness in the noodles, etc.we will keep coming back here if we want ramen now.I am glad to see more ramen places in Northeast Philly, instead of having to drive to Chinatown or even NJ, so we had to try it here.
Our ramen dishes were utterly delicious, our server was amazing, and the atmosphere was incredibly casual and laid back. I thought their idea of using dry erase markers to mark off your selections for your meals and drinks, etc was simply creative. Great, great place; I would definitely come back again! ☺️
Nice to have a ramen place in the heart of NE Philly. Service was lovely and quick! Ramen tasted amazing. Will be back!
This place is great. To start off, the restaurant itself is beautiful and very clean. I went on May 7, 2022 around 12 PM on a Saturday and was seated right away. Their music is very pleasant with varying types of genre, especially slow covers-- which I love. The wait for the food was not long at all, the receptionist was so sweet and kind! The food was amazing and everything came out great. The prices were all very reasonable. I had told my family about this place and we will all be back soon. All in all, 5 stars for cleanliness, friendly staff, amazing food, short wait time, and---- for the parking lot right in front of the restaurant!
Great place for ramen and other Japanese favorites. To start we had the takoyaki it was delicious. We also had the curry bowl with crispy chicken katsu also awesome. The tantan ramen was also excellent. I would have given this place 5 stars but the ramen was warm but not hot. It should be served hot. Besided that everything was good. The service was unbeatable.
Customer service excellent!!!! Food is extremely delicious. Price is great. One of the best ramen house in Philadelphia. Must visit. Beautiful in the inside.
I just can’t even give a 4 stars especially considering how many different ramen places I’ve eaten before. This might not be a place I would wanna come back.Good: Big parking lot so no street parking struggle. Friendly customer service. The red bean milk tea I ordered isn’t too bad, surprisingly. Restaurant itself isn’t that big but definitely very clean, maybe cause it was open not too long ago (i’m guessing).Dislikes: Ordered one black garlic ramen with a $4 combo of the chicken katsu curry rice, one reg salt black garlic ramen, one shoyu ramen, and one pork toast bun. The toast bun is alright. I like the thick meat and big slice of tomato, lettuce, and a cucumber, but to me, it’s slightly not enough sauce. The meat was not fatty enough too. It was more on the skinny side. The shoyu ramen was a bit too salty, maybe that’s why you can choose less, reg, or more salt. As for the ramen noodle, we had the wavy ramen. All 3 of the ramen noodle still has that not cook thoroughly wonton noodle taste… 鹼水味 (sorry not sure how to translate that into English). And the noodle is slightly soggy. The black garlic ramen soup base is quite tasteless. I didn’t order any skewers after seeing pictures of jumbo shrimps not being jumbo for $3. Broccoli skewers with 3 sliced broccoli for $1.75. Really?! No thanks.The presentation of the dish and food was pretty but taste wise, I don’t think it’s as good as it looks in my opinion. If I ever do return, maybe just for their bun and red bean milk tea. But two doors down is another bubble tea place, so….idk.
I’m a huge fan of Terakawa so when I saw this place offered Tan Tan ramen I had to try it. Takoyaki and soft buns were great. Tan tan was good but definitely not as good as Terakawa’s. Not sure why it was covered so much in raw red onions too, weird addition. Also, I wish there was a chicken option instead of pork. Overall, I’d definitely order again but would go for another type of ramen.
Authentic Japanese food. The service is amazing. My girls love to come here.
We are back for our second visit! We ordered take out last week and the food was great! We've been looking for a good Ramen place and we've found it! Staff is very friendly. Place is clean. Food is hot and served quickly. Definitely recommend.
