Mike’s BBQ is the best in Philly and beyond. You simply won’t find better in the city. Brisket and brisket cheesesteak are my go-tos but I enjoy the ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and smoked chicken too. The sides are an absolute must (love the gouda mac but you can’t go wrong with any sides) and the decadent banana pudding is unreal. Oh, and there are some crazy specials that totally work! Mike himself is a great human. He cares about Philadelphia, supports the other local businesses, and stands up for what he believes in.

This is GREAT barbecue with just the right level of smoke and spice for me. I especially love their brisket, which is consistently moist and fall-apart tender. Even though it’s tough to find parking nearby, their service is really friendly, and they make it easy to pick it up or dine-in. Best to order early so they won’t run out!
Hands down best BBQ in philly. Brisket cheesesteak is out of this world. Beer too… I’ll be back
Here’s the thing about Mike’s… it’s straight ? - I’ve ordered nearly everything on the menu and it never disappoints. As the son of a BBQ competition champ, Mikes stuff is delicious and consistent. One of my favorite local go-to’s.
Went here on a food tour of the city. Probably the best place we tried all day. The brisket cheesesteak was amazing and the Korean BBQ wings has great flavor. The sides were good but the best part was the banana pudding for dessert. Insanely good. Definitely worth a stop.
A little bit of southern and a little bit of Philly. Mike has set the standard for BBQ in Philly. I've ate my way through the menu Ina few visits and can't say a bad thing about any of the food-- you can't go wrong. The Brisket Philly Cheesesteak is solid for a gut-buster meal.
Be the hedonistic person you are while ordering and just go all out, let yourself go. My partner and I ordered three kinds of wings, the ribs, the smoked chicken cheesesteak, the pickles, Mac and cheese, cornbread AND the banana pudding. Absolutely incredible 10/10. Mike and his crew know what the deal is and that’s what keeps us coming back, sharing the love and recommending EVERYTHING to everyone looking for an incredible meal with matching service.
