Spotless South Philly Diner. Great stop for breakfast before jumping on the road to the shore!

They always make one feel like family...or familia ❤️The food has always tasted great.

Service was friendly and attentive. Establishment was clean and well maintained. Food was delicious with generous portions though a little on the pricy side. Dinner for two will run about $40-$50 with drinks. Coffee was good too. Parking lot is tight, but there is on street parking available.

waitress service was good, however the food was subpar, i ordered a new york strip steak with mash potatoes and broccoli , the mash was served luke warm i may had a 1/2 teaspoon of gravy on them and both the mash and broccoli where bland, the steak i ordered medium rare , one end was med rare, the middle was rare and the other end was well done . my son didn't like his chicken fingers or fries , the decor is way outdated and the booths are falling apart, not to mention the waitresses are both waitress and bus boy so the booth we originally wanted was dirty. it's a shame to see what was once a famous diner with great food go down the crapper . i still remember the commercial for this place playing on the tv when i was a kid.

Love the warm welcome and friendly staff; just overall nice vibe and the food is excellent; cooked like back home ?

Dissatisfied with my customer service experience and food. Inattentive. Never got a greeting. Had mold on my wheat bread. I don’t need penicillin. Avoid avoid avoid this place. Eerie vibes like I was living in the 1960s.

Loved the chicken and waffles, my mom had the cream chipped beef and she said it was delicious! Hope to come here again, owner and waitstaff were very nice, wish we caught their names

Stopped here for breakfast before hitting the town. I dig the modernized retro theme. The employees are super nice. We got creamed chipped beef on toast, with grits( throw back to my childhood in the 90's) and my husband got a protein packed omlette, as well as coffee. (His was regular- still good, mine was a fancy iced coffee with whipped cream- better then starbucks at home ?) check out these pics

This diner is a Philly staple. They have been in the neighborhood forever. My server was courteous and the food was cooked quickly. When you order make sure you specify how you like your food prepared. My eggs were more runny than I prefer and the grits were watery. I wasn't disappointed, I just learned for next time. We grabbed a butter cake on the way out that my MIL loves!

The coffee was a bit watered down, so black coffee drinkers beware. The French onion soup is amazing! The French toast was very good, but the side of bacon wasn’t my style. The cream chip beef was a bit bland and the shredded hash browns were a bit undercooked if you are into that. Cash register lady grills your tip, which is uncomfortable, so even though they have parking, I will only be ordering take out from now on. Mostly for the soup only.
