Went here for my girlfriend birthday and we loved it! Great atmosphere and the service was great except we told the server no asparagus and he bought anyway. But quickly followed up with some string beans! He was amazing! Wish I remembered his name. Food was great! I would definitely recommend here for a special occasion! They are pricey lol

The food was great: our server so friendly and helpful although clearly new. The music was all over the place and I like all kinds of music but McCormicks and Schmick’s needs to find its vibe. Highly recommend!!!

Everything about this place is mediocre. The mussels were small and lacking flavor. The Parmesan crusted flounder was dry, overcooked and I couldn’t taste a hint of Parmesan. The drinks were weak and the service was slow. The waiter shouldn’t take an order from another table while the check for my table is in his pocket and I am waiting for it. Also, don’t make me box up the leftovers; this isn’t Applebees. The noise level is too high since it is one large open room. In short there are much better choices in Philly. Keep walking.

Our waiter was new but knowledgeable and his recommendations were good— the strawberry Palmer and caprese salad. The swordfish dinner was overpowered by the butter sauce—— I had to ask for a saucer to move the fish and crab casino. The crab casino was salty and inedible. The spinach and mushrooms were great, outside the overpowering butter sauce. My husband enjoyed his burger and lobster bisque. Service was great from beginning to end.

Excellent!!!!

We came for a later dinner and were not disappointed. Good seafood, quick, attentive service, and the only complaint is that they are a bit pricey.

It was nice, but certain menu items were unavailable and the waitress did not know until the orders went back to the kitchen.

Very disappointing visit; in town for convention; made reservation for 12:30 so we can be back at convention. At 1:30, server informed us our ticket got lost in the kitchen. Manager made many excuses blaming the convention, school graduation, etc. we gobbled food at 2:00 and requested check; original check only hade appetizers assumed mgt is picking up other items. Provided serve credit cards, she returns processing full check with only 25% discount. I asked where was original ticket provided, everyone pretended I made up the original ticket. Bad experience to say the least?

Great food and service

The Lobster Bisque was wonderful, except the croutons were over toasted and on the edge of tasting burnt. The walnut salad was flavorful, with just the right balance of flavors. They were out of the $29.00 NY strip, so if I wanted a steak (which is what I went to M&S for). I was forced to order the $32.00 filet. It was cooked perfectly to my order, but not as flavorful as a NY Strip. We were asked if we wanted mashed potatoes or something else as a side (which we thought meant it came with the steak), so we ordered the cooked spinach, and we ordered a shared side of Asparagus. We were charged an additional fee for the spinach and the expected fee for the Asparagus. Unfortunately the spinach was so heavy with garlic that the spinach flavor was impossible to taste. The Asparagus was undercooked and tough. The wines were fabulous and the creme brí»lée was good, but nothing to make me order it again. Our waitress was wonderful. All in all I have to give a 50/50 to the experience. It was not as good as I expected, but not as bad as it might have been.
