The man that took my order was very nice. The wait was long . I noticed people ordering and leaving to come back later and get their food. Ordering ahead is a good idea if you are a regular. I got jollof rice stew chicken and plantain. Puff puff and ginger juice. The puff was dry . I loved the jollof and the plantain. My issue was with the stew chicken. The sauce was delicious but I expected the chicken to be boneless and tender or with bones and tender. Instead it was fried chicken wings thrown in stew. Stewed meat should be tender and falling off the bone. Next time I will get salmon and stew without meat on the side. The place looked clean and I love that it is in north philly. Most African restaurants are in south west philly. Thank you for opening your restaurant in north philly! ? Days later.. i went back and ordered grilled chicken with tomato stew on the side and it was absolutely delicious . The chicken was tender the way it should be. I will say that the platters come with two sides. If you do not specify which two sides you want , they will choose for you. I did not like that. They should tell you what your choices are. But all in all I will be returning. ?

Can't beat the quality, price ratio here. No thrills but bold flavors, serious heat if you want it- while the stew and jallof flavors are too good on their own.Great service and nice people here.I'll be back to try more plates for sure. Gotta come hungry af with these portion sizes, just be ready to nap after

Their food was very good, came nice a hot. The taste was amazing, the spices and herbs were super delicious.I have had several dishes and they all have been better than expected. I have tried their baked tilapia, Potato greens, egusi soup, just too name a few. You will love it!

Worse African food ever. I had Potato greens and they were mushy and somehow dry. The Jollof rice was extra dry and clumpy with no flavor, I don’t know what that was. Never again will I even look at this store when driving by.

This was the worst Jamaican food I've ever had and they didn't even get the order right. We ordered mixed vegetables for one of the orders but got plantain instead. Everything was overcooked including the cabbage that was mushy. The rice and peas was full of clumps but no peas. The jerk chicken and ox tail orders were supposed to be large, I'd hate to see a small order. The only thing large in the order was the extreme amount of clumpy rice in both orders.

The curry and jerk chicken were quite good. Tender, not too dry, and packed with flavor. The jollof rice was a bit dry, wished it was more saucy since it's tomato based, but flavor was still good. The mac n cheese was like childhood mac n cheese. Scrumptious.

Spicy spinach or cassava leafs are my favorite? I can eat it daily. ????????However menu and prices could be more clear. Cassava leafs stew w no meat went from $8 to $12 plus tax??‍♂️

I just ordered beef on the stick and it looked and taste old. It was flat and very very dry. I think they pre cooked it and heated back up.

It was ok didn't know the fish had bones in it and too many carrots in the cabbage. Also baked mac needed to be a bit darker. Sorry about the half eaten food pic lol

They didn't know they had an order, that's okay I understand people can get busy. Well I asked how long the lady told me 15 minutes, I said okay and went to my car. I called her back after 15 minutes to make sure the food was done. The lady starts yelling at me telling me she has orders to fill and don't be yelling at her. Well I didn't go back for food. I will never spend any money in this store was my first time well you lost one and probably will continue.
