I had a good time. The carnita tacos where good with their guacamole salsa. The avocado salad was excellent too.

Food was OK, but service was bad. Entrees came about 5 minutes after appetizer came out. Staff was just sitting, hanging out at the bar. The older hostess (was doing a lot of work.. setting up/clearing tables, etc) was moving a table across the room and none of the male waiters helped her. At the table next to us, the guy asked the watitress to take the waters away to make room, and she took not only the water glasses away, but his beer. He jumped out of his seat when he realized to get his beer back! Definitely not trained...The blonde waitress sitting at the bar was the one who did it and was our waitress too. Before this picture, there were 5-6 staff sitting around.

Me and my friend first time here was yesterday. I enjoy the atmosphere and service was fast. Our server was nice and quick with bringing our food. I only wished the tortilla chips were hot and that the queso was melted and hot. Overall I enjoyed coming here and the decor is nicely done.

We haven’t had authentic Mexican food before. We were in old city and decided to try this place on a whim. We ordered the Nachos, soft tacos with pork, and soft tacos with wild mushrooms.First of all, the star of the show was the Nachos. It was a huge platter. Enough for four people (seriously!!). And it was delicious. So cheesy and had generous helpings of beans, yuca, tomato, and onions. Just amazing. The mains were great as well. I got my tacos with no pineapple. The pork was succulent and had just the right bite. The tacos went great with the house guacamole. All in all definitely a 4.5 star experience. Unfortunately Google doesn’t let me rank a place at 4.5 stars. So I’m going to give it 4 stars. Definitely recommend it. The interior decoration (heavily inspired by Lucha Libre) is also eclectic and eye catching. The servers were friendly and were quick to change our plates when we noticed that they weren’t washed and wiped properly.Total cost came out to around $50.

The food is excellent. Didn't like the blue margaritas, but the Mango (might be called something else) margarita was fantastic! Love this place. Great place for dates, friends or just plan fun in the city.

Great food, friendly staff, & intimate setting

The food, atmosphere and drinks were excellent here! We came at the end of happy hour and got $5 house margaritas and 2/$5 chicken empanadas and they were so delicious, fresh and surprisingly authentic. For the main course we ordered the Mexican Mixed Grill for 2 and it was so much food and the steak and all the meats were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back and our server was absolutely amazing! Such an awesome experience!

Lucha Cartel is a great place for a quick happy hour. Tacos, quesadillas and margaritas can all be found on their simple but great happy hour menu. The tacos are tasty and the margs are what you would during a happy hour. The fried plantains were the best I have had in the city. The atmosphere is also very lively.

Quality delicious choices, great, friendly service and cool atmosphere. Love the día del muerto decorations.

Such a fun atmosphere!! From the decorations, to the drinks, food and music this place was AMAZING!!
