WOW...!!! Seen a YouTube video about this place...LARGE $5 PLATTERS: CHICKEN, SALMON, of FISH.. WRONG....!!!! Nothing like the YouTube video at all...!!! My family and I went to support but was HIGHLY TRULY DISAPPOINTED...NOT LARGE WHOLE WINGS, (LITTLE WING DINGS) SMALL SPOON OF....well you all can see for yourselves... Plus safe to say back to Healthy Jamaica Platters...!!!
I was looking for a hidden gem and thanks to JL, I found it. The ladies were so nice and it felt like aunties making homemade food. I tried everything except the salmon (sold out) and appreciated every bite. If I had to choose, the star for me was the swaiiiii. I can’t choose a side bc they were all so good and necessary ? A must if you’re going to Philly.Thank you for the homemade soul food and that playlist ?? they revitalized my spirit and brought back some goood memories.
Well, I first heard about this place through JL Jupiter on YouTube and since seeing that video and how good that food looked. I knew when I visited Philly again, I was going there. After visiting family, I stopped by. My husband and I was not disappointed, from the moment I walked in (I’m so sorry I didn’t get the young lady’s name) but it was 4/26 a little after 12pm when we came in. She was so delightful, so professional and then on top of that the owner took a picture with us, per request. He was very welcoming and the food was no joke it’s worth more then the price. The food was well seasoned and I will be going back again thank you JL Jupiter and thank you for the owner of lavish for the food being just what your logo says LAVISH!!
The young lady that takes the order is a sweetheart, but some of the other staff have a attitude problem. I waited over a hour for 1 special of the day & 3 platters. Apparently I was waiting for mac & cheese for 3 platters & I was never told it will be a wait?. Once I asked why I'm still waiting I was told by the chick in the kitchen that the Mac is cooking & I can wait or get something else ?. So I was already waiting for an hour so I waited.
I gave this place a 3 only cause I didn't eat here yet, I tried rushing from North to West to catch me a plater from here , but when I arrived they was sold out.But I hear they got awesome food and I can't wait to get my taste in
Best damn soul food ever! The $6.00 platters are stacked & the food is definitely made with love! I give them a 20 out of 10 stars!
Owner really cares about catering and serving customers. Very worth the wait. Quality food and drink for an amazing price and portion.
Online it says it close at 8. I got there at 5 and was calling all day with no answer. I traveled 2 hrs to try their food and was very disappointed. Maybe I'll try another day. Also when I arrived there was people inside and I stood there to see what they would say but they kept their head down. Working with the public is a very tough thing but you won't get far with a terrible attitude towards the people who are contributing their money towards their business.UPDATE! I went Sunday afternoon. Cash only! Very straight to the point and you can tell the food was mad with love ❤️ I need to go back!
