This place has kinda went downhill. Firstly they charge you 20% gratuity no matter what. Which is fine, but when service isn’t that great it makes you have second thoughts. My drink had hair in it, the bartender said “aww I’m sorry” took it and threw it away. Kept it on the bill, and that was that. The cheesesteak rolls are still pretty good, but the menu price has gone up significantly since we last were there. The drinks on the menu mirror prices you’d see in fancy places in center city, but aren’t the same quality. It’s just not how it used to be

I've been to this restaurant twice. The food was amazing both times. The bathrooms are cleanish and the radio plays all your favorite TikTok hits. The only complaint is the drinks. The cocktails are fine but the beer is awful. The Drexel adults the are waiters made to bartend can't poor or maintain a beer bar. The beer sits in the line and skunks. There is no carbonation. They poor a glass of 90% foam and poor out the foam and fill it again until the get something resembling a beer. It's undrinkable. Definitely worth a visit but BYOB .

The food was ok and the atmosphere was nice. This is a nice place to enjoy an afternoon lunch, or a Sunday brunch! Our server, Michael, is why they only earned two ⭐⭐! My wife ordered an Irish coffee. It was a little too bland, so she asked for some additional cream, (to sweeten it); Michael brought her cup back with a large amount spilled on the saucer (almost like he was offended that he had to go back and get it for her)! Then, when we asked for the check, he tried to give us someone else's bill, (for almost triple the amount of our own bill). Based on his nonchalant attitude when we pointed out the error, it felt like he gave us the wrong check on purpose! He was also sarcastic and flippant when my wife asked him for his name! I understand that mistakes happen, but to not even offer, YOUR PAYING CUSTOMER, an appology, after an error like that, really rubbed both of us the wrong way!

Just a really average visit. In order of points: - Location: if you are visiting University city, then I’ll give it a 4 to 4.5. Good location right on a major street close to everything. - Menu. For that I’ll give it a 3. The food is not bad but it’s not great either. The menu is also very limited, with just a few traditional items like finger foods and burgers. - Atmosphere. A solid 3. Very disappointing for a place that has two major universities nearby. 7:30 on a weekday night and all TV’s (7 total) playing the same lacrosse game. - Service. A solid 2. The service is not bad, but just mediocre. If they had a bad attitude, then a solid 1. Again, the service is not bad, it’s like nobody really cares. Including the manager, who walks around doing who knows what. For instance, I ordered a beer from him (the manager) after bringing me my dinner, and he totally forgot. I then got my beer from a server like five minutes after when I was holding with my food. Servers, are at the bar talking to friends and forgetting about customers. Really odd, especially since they seem to have fully staff, and not that many customers. I even had to go to the hostess table, and ask for napkins since I was given none. Not to mention that I ordered two beers, different brands, and both came up warm not cold. In conclusion, I’ve been to University city City a number times, and this is the first time I visit this place. But, extremely disappointed, especially considering that it is just a couple minutes walking distance from the Sheraton Hotel and The Study Hotel. I’m staying here for almost two weeks this time, but not coming back for sure.

This place was perfect for a mid afternoon lunch when in the area. The menu has variety. I got the Cobb Salad with the addition of a crab cake. The chicken on the Cobb was done just right with a tasty coating and was tender inside. The crab cake was good, though a tad salty. I would come here again if I felt lucky nabbing a street parking spot within a one block radius. I noticed 20 percent was already added on the bill. I've been reading that in many places these days they don't want you to consider that a gratuity for the server? Well it was for us, so I hope this particular establishment rewards their wait staff.

Absolutely terrible. We went there for a Sunday brunch with our friends. All the food was cold - not warm, cold - and very, very salty. Cheddar grits looked like dog vomit and tasted the same. We were forced the check even before we finished eating (and the place was half empty) and then the server left all the dirty plates on the table. They add a 20% tip automatically because they know people would give them that much for this kind service 'quality'.

Totally out of line to decide on a forced tip. Should either be part of service or patrons choice. Sure want to avoid this "trap"

To be fair, the policy is posted on the front door but I didn’t see it. Enjoyed lunch, today, at this establishment. Appetizer of buffalo chicken Eggrolls was particularly delightful. We sat outside and were given very good service. Upon receiving the bill, we noticed a 20% Service charge. Basically, I am being told to tip 20%. I asked our friendly server about this. She told me that it started after Covid and it is a restaurant policy. Upon further questioning to front desk staff I was only informed that The restaurant policy is to add a 20% gratuity, without any explanation of what that policy is based upon. If I am being expected to tip 20% because diners at your establishment do not, in the eyes of either management or staff, tip sufficiently, or that management needs extra revenue to afford to pay their staff and overhead, I, as a patron, deserve to be informed of such. Further, as a lifelong member of the hospitality community, I feel that a forced gratuity creates a service atmosphere where mediocrity is the order of the day. Quite honestly, I feel it incentivizes a lackluster customer service ethic.

My friend and I tried this place out for the first time after a colleague recommended. It did not disappoint! I ordered the black and blue/cajun burger and was thrilled that was so flavorful. The service was friendly, attentive but not overly present even though we were 1 of 2 tables eating outside. Definitely looking to go again to try other items on the menu.

Terrible nachos, I had placed an order of chicken nachos, they sent different nachos with no sauce; these are not the original nachos. When the food arrived it was burnt and they did not taste fresh at all. This was the most disgusting ? thing I ate.
