Opened during the pandemic and already a neighborhood favorite, Korshak Bagels is worth a visit to South Philly. Open Wednesday through Sunday mornings, they sell a handful of bagels that can't be boxed in. They aren't New York City style or Montreal style. They stand on their own.After going for breakfast with a friend on a Friday morning right when they opened at 8 a.m., here's my experience:1) Bagels: There are fourteen different kinds from standard to more fancy. I ordered the sesame bagel and my friend ordered the everything. The seasoning on both were on BOTH sides of the bagel, adding more flavor. They have a number of schmears, but the blueberry compote went well with the sesame bagel.2) Service: It's clear the staff are proud of their product, space and community. You order your food and then wait outside for a staff member to hand it to you through the takeout window.If you love bagels, run to Korshak Bagels. It's so good!
These bagels are truly phenomenal. I've worked at bagel shops in New Jersey and grew up on bagels from NJ and NYC and Korshak bagels are delicious in their own right and bring something unique from the classic NY/NJ bagel. The bagels are light and fluffy on the inside with a delicious crisp on the outside and they are never light on the seasonings and flavor. I loved the Clem chutney. It is indescribable and must be experienced for yourself. I will be eating many more bagels from Korshak.
Got some bagels to bring home, unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try the everything (my favorite), so I will definitely need to make another visit. I’m very picky when it comes to bagels and I honestly think these are the best bagels in the city! A very light crunch on the outside, soft inside and extremely flavorful, even the plain bagels! Highly recommend!
How do they make the rye bagels so light? And the tooth on the outside of these things is perfect without being too thick while holding up to a good bite. These sour dough bagels are loved when they're made and I've found my spot. Thank you, Philip. Your bagels are outstanding.

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday and we can’t wait to make it back soon. The owner created such a personalized fun experience and the bagels were out of this world. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
So good. The owner and staff are great. The bagels are just as great. I think they are the best in the city. I have been on the hunt for what I consider to be the best. IMHO, these are it. They checked all of the boxes for me. Give them a shot.
Love the crumb and texture of these bagels - airy and pillowy inside yet still crisp on the outside and sturdy! More bread like (in a good way) than denser bagels I've had before.The Lady Bunny schmear is delicious (esp on a cinnamon raisin bagel). Like spreadable carrot cake.Order ahead/pick-up at the window was easy too.
