This store got a great story. Owners are Jewish and Yemens. I spoke with the the Yemen partner today. He said it's about the sandwhich, but he wish more people knows about Jewish and Arabs business partnership, making it work, making peace possible. The sandwhich, how does it taste? When you have love, the sandwhich can ONLY be GREAT!TRY the LBK.
Don't get the Italian hoagie. They substitute all the lunch meat for it. They don't sell NO PORK cause it's against new owner religion. But the hot pastrami is still very delicious ?

This used to be a fantastic delicatessen, back when the original Koch family owned it! It was always a treat when we went: samples, great conversations, and the sandwiches were outstanding! When Bob passed, one of his longtime staffers took over and it was still good, but I don't know what happened to him. Whoever this current guy is, he's horrible! The skimpy and tasteless food does not justify the prices, and has sullied the Koch's legacy! Take it from the widow of a longtime, family friend, and find yourself new delicatessen! I won't go back unless there is a new owner that values the legacy that was Koch's!
Kochs was my best deli in whole phila....no one had the dark ..not salty corned beef like them! I went past week and they changed hands...the cornbeef isn't the same and it was a Lil salty..light pinkish...I figured I try the new management smoothie...it needed honey!! I'm not impressed...heartbroken Koch is gone...not the same
If you’re a delivery driver from doordash, grubhub, ubereats, etc…DONT ACCEPT FROM THIS PLACE. Save your gas, time, and stress. I waited almost 40 min for an order that I had to cancel (along with me and 2 other delivery drivers) because of the ridiculously long wait time while the cooks where chatting up a storm but told me the order would be ready in 5 min. Not worth the money.
It’s Sunday and my usual hoagie spots are closed. I Googled searched hoagie spots and this establishment came up. The reviews were great so I decided to give them a shot. I go in and they are a little backed up with orders. Ok, no problem, I’ll wait. The food smelled so good and the food looked yummy! I was waiting patiently to order my sandwich because I just knew it was going to be delicious…then all of a sudden I looked through the cold case glass at them making sandwiches and saw that no one was wearing gloves. I was so hungry that I tried to reason with myself but I’m sorry I couldn’t do it. Cleanliness matters. I left hungry and disappointed.
I walked over this morning and I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato on wheat bread. It was large and gooey delicious. Thank for you starting my day off right.
It's dead, Jim.I hope it returns, but if the repairs take as long as the orders usually did, the place won't be open again until its submerged under melted glaciers
Great sandwich need to open back up!
