If you’re looking for a strong cocktail knock is a great spot! That said, don’t come for the food! The flatbread looked and tasted like it came from the freezer. The calamari was mehhh..overall it doesn’t warrant any type of restaurant recommendation.

This used to be my favorite place, however, since the pandemic the food doesn’t seem as good and the service is not as attentive. The food is mediocre at best. The bread is disappointing. Meat dishes are a better bet than the fish these days— I miss the old prime rib Sunday special! I really hope they can regain their former quality. Knock is an important and essential space for older gay men and anyone else seeking a nice meal in the Gayborhood; the bar is classy rather than tawdry. I’ll keep going back occasionally just to support their existence, but they do need to find a balance between quality and costs in this pandemic-saturated economy.

I used to go to Knock quite often but the last few times I went the food was mediocre especially the fish!! For God's sake, please someone show the chef how to cook fish. The bread is also unacceptable. If you've ever gone to a restaurant like Parc, you know what good bread is like. Finally, the one really good thing on the menu used to be the prime rib but they no longer have it. I really enjoy being around older gay men like myself but that doesn't offset the mediocre food.

This place does not even deserve one star!!! Don’t ever go to this bar. Not only is the food terrible and overpriced but the manager Howard is the biggest jerk you’ll ever speak with. I called and complained about the food we got because the caesar salad was so drenched with dressing that the lettuce was soggy and the portions were ridiculously small for how much the salad cost. Also my girlfriend got calamari that was also a ridiculously small portion for the price. We were told it was too late to exchange the food because the kitchen closed which is absurd. We also did not feel welcome there from the minute we walked in. I called and i told the manager Howard of our experience and he did nothing but give me extremely rude responses and was belittling me the entire time. He hung up on me the first 2 times i called him and the third time he yelled at me on the phone of which i have the phone calls recorded and i am reporting this to the better business bureau because it was incredibly unprofessional. I have literally never had such a terrible experience in my life and my family runs a very creditable restaurant chain and would never ever treat a customer in such a way. This is not how you run a business, the customer is always right and deserves to be heard regardless of when the complaint is made, Howard was actually laughing at me on the phone saying that i was calling too many days after our visit to Knock, I explained to him that the reason i had not called yet was because i was trying to locate the receipt since most businesses will always need an order number to refer to… this guy clearly was just born yesterday and he needs to be reported for his lack of professionalism. I am completely appalled by this and last but not least, this business is absolutely bias towards females, if you are a female and you plan on visiting here dont waste your time because you will be stared at the entire time you’re there because apparently only Gay men are allowed here. ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE!!!!

The menu and food are ok for "New American" food, but there is nothing special about this restaurant. The decor is plain, with a dark word look. The menu has variety, but nothing is unique. My fish was slightly charred. Worst, they only give you a single roll of bread, and ours were stale (it was only 7:00 at night). The staff was polite, but I wouldn't advise anyone go here.

They have THE BEST, chicken tenders and honey mustard in the Philadelphia area. My go to spot whenever I’m in town. Can’t wait to visit soon!

If you are looking for a great meal, try this place. The salmon was "melt in your mouth" good, and my flounder covered the plate and was also full of flavor. Don't skip dessert either! I had never had a slice of cake that large! The carrot cake was amazing.

I would give this place a one but the lowest is a 1. I call right before I came and asked so we have to have a reservation the gentleman stated no and that they are not busy my friend and I walked in and and the woman who greeted us at the hostess station said to me that they are not serving food at 4pm at a bar restaurant. I instantly felt discriminated against.

Great atmosphere and the food reasonably priced and food was 5 steps above most bars in the neighborhood will definitely be returning.

fabulous service, wonderful menu, artful presentation and delicious all around! highly recommended if you are in Philadelphia!
