Went to explore Philadelphia for the weekend and stopped by this amazing Thai restaurant in the city for dinner. The food was so good. I wanted to try fancy Thai food. The server was nice and polite, she recommended the sea bass to try. So I ordered pan seared sea bass and, of course Thai iced tea in a small bottle. Everything was quit good than I expected. The fish was hot and cooked through inside on top of the bed vegetables, also perfect amount of tamarind sauce. Really enjoyed it.After that, I had matcha creme blulee for dessert (just wanted to try something different from mango sticky rice). It was another home run for this small cozy Thai restaurant in Philly. I definitely come back this place again next time when I come visit Philadelphia. Highly recommended :))

Ended up at this place on a first date, without having planned it or made reservations. We were seated immediately. The interior of this place is nice, with many images of trees for artwork. It's not too loud so chatting is easy. Everything was so very tasty. We ordered a few appetizers and then 2 desserts. The mussels are cooked in a delicate Green Thai broth with onions and peppers. We wanted to find ways to eat the rest of the broth, because it was that tasty. The Lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly. They had a nice char on the outside but the meat was soft and tender. The chicken pate empanadas were a delicious little bite of fried goodness. We also got a side of Chinese broccoli that was fresh, light, and a perfect compliment to the other dishes we had. The dessert menu had several unique looking options. The fried ice cream comes with a display of pouring flames over it; it was quite impressive! In addition to being a beautiful presentation, it was a delightful tasty treat. The chocolate gelato came out in the form of a pie; it was dense and thick. We enjoyed every bite we had at this place; I highly recommend!
Ordered a takeout. The staff is very courteous. We had crispy duck salad ( wow! Amazing juicy duck with spicy flavors). Drunken veg noodles stole the show. However, veg spring roles were very plain. I would love to dine in here.
The green curry is pretty good. I think the Thai ice tea can be better but that just my personal preference overall it’s a great place to try out
I am obsessed with Thai cuisine, so I was excited to try JJ Thai for the first time! Our group ordered the grilled lamb lollipop appetizer, curry puffs appetizer, and fired ice cream dessert. I personally had the shrimp drunken noodles entrée. Everything had a great presentation, was delicious, and was given in big portions! The food came out fast and the servers were great. My only qualm is that the distance between tables was kind of tight – but I guess the place being packed is a good sign of the great food and service!
Delicious lamb lollipops, curry puffs, pad Thai, and short rib massaman curry. One of those places where you can't go wrong with anything on the menu it seems. Highly recommended, would eat again 110%!
JJ Thai Cuisine is the best Thai restaurant in Philadelphia. The atmosphere is welcoming and intimate, the customer service is amazing and the food is so flavorful and authentic. When I lived in Philly I would come so often they know me by name. I have since moved to Germany and still make it a point to come and visit the owner and his amazing staff as much as I can. The food will draw you in and the staff will keep you coming back!
My green curry was awesome. Girlfriend had the som tum salad. Was authentic food. Service was excellent! Clean bathrooms too.
First time here. This is really good and flavorful. I did a to go order and thankfully my waitress/hostess was remembered I said brown rice not white rice with my meal because the bag was sealed. I would have gotten to my hotel and been mad because I got there right before they closed. She took my food back and got the brown rice. I appreciate that extra attention to detail. The little things. The food is extremely flavorful. I got the salmon curry. Going to try the other salmon next. Would recommend.
