Good diner vibes at Jim’s. We stopped by here for Philly cheesesteaks. They also have veggie options like an all-vegetable sandwich on a hoagie and egg+cheese sandwiches. I thought the service was not very friendly but the bread was surprisingly good (bread really completes a sandwich, not just the fillings).

A must have! My husband and I came here during our visit to Philly and had to give it a try with all the raving reviews. It definitely lived up to the hype. The staff is super friendly especially this one gentleman who was super talkative and made everyone laugh making it an even more fun experience. Amazing food!!

This was the best cheesesteak I ever had. It is worth the line. Just know what you want before it's your time to order because they don't have patience for people being indecisive. A must stop in Philly.

When a place is widely regarded as the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia, it’s easy to get complacent and start to slack on the quality. Not this place. It doesn’t matter what time of day what day of the week or what month of the year, this place gives the absolute best cheesesteak. The rolls are loaded with meat the onions are grilled to perfection.

I am conflicted writing this because the food … was not it for me. But the inside was really cool. The meat had no flavor, and they barely give you any wiz so you have a super dry sandwich … the staff was super nice and easy to talk to. There is seating upstairs, and pics all over that are fun to look at. It’s a cool place to visit, but the food isn’t worth the money.

Jim's is top 3 in my humble opinion. I finally got a chance to visit this south st location. Was thoroughly impressed with everything. The pictures and autographs on the wall were a nice touch. The steak is very good and cooked to perfection. Was devastated when they closed the northeast location so now it's South Street or bust. Great job & keep up the great work.

This place didn't disappoint. I visited Philly for the first time and I had to try an official Philly cheesesteak and Jim's didn't disappoint. Told the cook to hook us up with the best and it was delicious.

I’m from Jersey no tourist to Philly I enjoy all the different cheesesteak from this beautiful city but Jim’s has a lot of them beat lol Cheesesteak with fried onions, easy on the wiz and lettuce! i like to eat upstairs but on the go is always good too! Weekdays not so busy weekends now different story lol if you vote Jim’s say “I”

We waited an hour from the back of the line to when we ordered. Food looked great, but taste wasn't that good. Ordered a cheese steak with provalone, mushrooms, peppers and it was just not tasty. The mushrooms and peppers were out of a jar. The meat wasn't very flavorful. At least they had a good beer to enjoy to wash the taste out of my mouth with. The employees were very friendly, I do have to give them that. Seating upstairs cleared out pretty quick once a table finished eating, so we were able to sit once our food was ready. Bathrooms were not the cleanest.

The steaks are great when they are not too busy which is rare. The problem is they have to cook so much beef at one time the pile gets steamed and watery and loses its taste. Excellent bread.
