My review is based on the terrible service, how are we running establishments and your hours online states you’re supposed to be open from 11am-11pm and you’re closed the entire day, when you call the number, it goes straight to voice mail. It’s a waste to support businesses like this, I drove almost an hour away just to find out they’re closed when he can update Google or just answer the freaking phone!
JDs Soulfood is the reason so many African Americans have high bp. It was so salty I couldn’t eat it. I tried to eat a couple of bites and the salt pierced my tongue. I’m from the south and believe in seasonings but theirs is ridiculous.Also I ordered smothered Turkey Wings and got chicken wings. Mac and cheese was extremely dry. I ordered 3 platters and none of us could eat it. $60 wasted.Not only did they get our order wrong they told us 35 minutes for pick up and it ended up being over an hour.I recommend you take into consideration the health factor when reasoning food. Pay attention to detail when preparing customers food. Work on timeliness and find a more accommodating location for customers. Much improvement needed. But don’t give up.
NEVER ORDER ONLINE. THEY WILL TAKE YOU R MONEY EVEN WHEN FOOD ISN'T AVAILABLE. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TRY THIS PLACE BETTER TO TRY GOING INSIDE. NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN.
Plastic in my greens. Fried chicken salty and in old grease. Mac and cheese good but missing cheese. More bone on ribs then meat but nice sauce. Yellow rice no flavor at all. Black mold on pudding container. Given sides I did not ask for.
I was actually really disappointed with this spot, I thought it would be really good considering all of their Instagram buzz. Unfortunately they did not deliver for me and my friends. We all got basic soul food and it wasn’t flavored, the rice was bland and dry, the chicken , flavorless. I wouldn’t come back here.
They are AMAZING! I have yet to eat anything bad from there. The ribs are awesome ?
Ordered off of grubhub, I didn't receive my cake or anything stating they where out or a substitute for it.I Ordered fish, greens and black eyed peas, but what I received was everything on top of gravy and rice,, i didn't order this and was not happy because my food had gravy on it,, my peas was mixed in the rice,, very disappointed, my 1st time ordering, will not order from here again, to top it off there was a really curly black hair in my food BEYOND DISAPPOINTED
Please make sure you specify allergies when you are ordering I'm sure my fish was cooked in what they make the shrimp in but food was ok all around
Let me tell you jds food use to be sooooo good macaroni was super cheesy with just the right seasoning the yams had just enough sweetness food was definitely soulful by far the best food I’ve tasted in Philly in a very long time ,his food was for sure very much top 10 .I was literally eating here 3times a week ,these last few months his food has changed drastically,I’m not sure whose cooking but you can definitely tell it’s not him ,the macaroni is tasteless barley has cheese it taste like it’s made straight out a box-you know it’s bad when the macaroni are in singles ,my chicken taste so bad almost like old oil wasn’t .my yams were so dry,I’m so disappointed this is my 4 bad meal from them this year, I feel like they be just giving u anything ,the chicken was good today however the sides were horrible
Scammed outta my Sweet Potatoes....Ordered Salmon Dinner $23 w/sweet potatoesBusiness called and said no SalmonReceived 6 piece Wing Dinner $19 w/ soggy rice?1. I was offered a 6 piece and should have been offered a 10 piece ($22), at least. Called back and explained & requested this and when I picked up it was still the 6 pieces?♀️2. They never told me "We're out of sweet potatoes too.. I picked it up and opened it to peel back foil to see they gave me soggy rice. I would have cancelled my order over them sweet potatoes, yup?Horrible Service Overall
