We were told this was the spot to get an authentic Philly cheesesteak. What a MISTAKE. The steak was under seasoned, tasteless, basically just thrown on the flat grill and served. We purchased 2 and we were charged for 3. So disappointing
We wanted a true Philly Cheesesteak on our first trip to Philadelphia. If Ishkabibble's is a true Philly cheesesteak then I'll take the generic ones. They were dry and basically tasteless. What a disappointment.
Decided to try this place based on the high ratings for Chicken Cheesesteak in Philadelphia. But boy, was I disappointed! Don’t get me wrong, the concept of the Chicken cheesesteak using chunky pieces of grilled chicken is great! But it falls far short of expectorations when you bite into half cooked / half raw chunks of chicken that I spat out because they were too chewy / undercooked
Pretty solid cheesesteak. Meat and onions were cooked perfectly and the bread was fresh. Was hoping for a little bit more whiz though. Definitely a must have for anyone visiting Philly though.
We stopped by for some Cheese Steak and the food was Great! The service was great as well. Definitely, recommend to stop by if you are visiting the Liberty Bell or Independence Hall.
10:30 am and Jim’s across the street wasn’t open yet so we saddled up to the bar and ate some cheesesteak for an early breakfast. Standard whiz, onions, peppers and mushrooms. Any place that’s been around since 1979 is worth my time to try and this one delivered as expected. Customer service was on point.
