Everything we ordered was delicious. Some of the best naan I’ve had in my life. The samosas came out fresh and hot. I recommend the tikka masala, Chicken Dumpakht, and saag paneer. But really everything was good.We had a gluten free member of our party and they were very accommodating. On request, we were seated near the front and they opened the window onto the street, so it was a real indoor/outdoor experience. Great, reasonably priced BYOB. I will definitely return!
I was on my walk on South Street and was craving some Indian food. I passed by the restaurant and thought to give it a try. It's a cozy place with plenty of room to sit. I came in around 3 PM on a Sunday, and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. (A good date spot)Service: Superb. The waiter was super attentive and knew when I was ready to order.Food: These are the items I ordered (I will update more when I come back).* Samosa: 4/5. The dough was over-fried, but it was crunchy and flaky. The filling has complex flavors, but they are subtle and need a pinch of salt.* Garlic Naan: 3/5. It was not my favorite. I appreciate the natural garlic in the dough, but the bread lacks a buttery fluff texture and a pinch of salt. It would be great if this dish had roasted garlic mixed in the dough.* Lamb Vindaloo: 4/5. I love that it's spicy, and the spices stand out in the tomato sauce. I didn't get any hint of star anise, and maybe this recipe does not have it. The Lamb chunk was cooked a little on the dry side and would be a little better with some fattiness. You also taste the potatoes that have been soaked in the spices of the sauce. This dish needs salt. The spices can only take a dish so far, but it hinders the dish if it's not salted correctly. These are my opinion. Please check out the restaurant and give them a try.
Place has gone downhill. Some basic items are not good like the paneer naan and tikis masala.
For my first time having Indian food it was great. I had a spicy chicken meal. They made it good.
The menu falsely advertises the items in the Chana chatt- I got basic chickpeas dumped over lettuce, no onions no sauce. Garlic naan was under cooked with garlic flakes and not real garlic. The samosa was previously frozen and not fresh. Won’t order takeout here again
We were wandering the streets on a Saturday night trying to find a place that had any open tables when we stumbled upon this place! Gracious waiter/owner and amazing food! We are Indian food fans and this place had some of the best! Highly recommend
Really good restaurant. Really nice staff and food food. Not so fast, but I'll wait when the food is good!
A horrible restaurant serving Indian food.Biriyani is like kichidi and tastes horribleWorse biriyani I ever had in life . Indians please stay away from this.
I came here for lunch on a weekday and the food was very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Not many restaurants in this area have dine in for lunch so it was one of very few options but I’m glad that made me come here.
My new favorite Indian restaurant!
