It’s a cute restaurant and the server was good but I wasn’t really impressed. I ordered a sushi roll which was okay but probably the same quality in terms of taste to any grocery store roll I’ve purchased. I also ordered chicken teriyaki and it was not very good. A small serving of rice and the only flavor was teriyaki sauce that seemed to be poured on top. Got veggies on the side which were steamed (kind of?) no seasoning. For the price I would expect much more
Finally went to dine in here and thoroughly enjoyed it! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, and all of the staff we really nice. The food was amazing, and the presentation of my tempura was over the top. My boyfriend thought the sushi was really good. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and will be back!
A family member and I decided to try this restaurant for a birthday celebration. It was a Saturday evening dinner. I was asked for a Vax card upon arrival and presented accordingly. I thought the host was going to ask for a magnifying glass next. She examined the card for several minutes then asked for ID. For context, I'm a 62 yo retired person.There were very few people there at the time I arrived. I don't know if she went through this process with everyone but I seriously doubt it. I was finally allowed to be seated but I have to say that was a huge turn off.My family member was already there.We were quickly served drinks. I enjoyed the best pomegranate martini and ordered shortly after. The server was outstanding, as he made great suggestions and checked in often. I had miso, a delightful crab salad app, and veggie tempura. My cousin ordered a scallop app and two different styles of sushi.Overall the food was presented beautifully, made for an exciting and memorable feast.I had never tried tempura and will definitely return for more. The prices are fair. The atmosphere was very quiet and cozy.Next time I will skip the front door routine and just do take out.
Won’t go again. Spent $100 on takeout for two people. Sashimi was ok but rolls were the same quality as grocery store sushi - not at all worth the cost of these tiny rolls. Not enough food for two with 4 maki rolls and sashimi special. Didn’t give us soy sauce or chopsticks. Chestnut Hill sushi up the road is much better.
Came here for the first time had some good sushi I'm glad I have a spot to go to on Mondays now

Bad experience. Sushi did not have any flavor and the price of the sushi does not represent the quality at all. If you’re looking for some good sushi this place is not the way to go unfortunately.
Friendly staff, clean open atmosphere. Some of the best Japanese food Northwest Philly.

5 Stars! A delightful restaurant serving his quality sushi and sashimi. Always happy with my rolls, or the chefs specials, and I love the noodle dishes. The beef negamaki and the shrimp sushmai are especially good.
