Fantastic experience and some of the best fish I’ve had outside of Japan. The staff were also super attentive to my dietary restrictions and made some excellent substitutions. Yes, omakase is quite expensive but completely worth it.
Dude I don’t even know. I just finished up my first omakase there 30 minutes ago and I’m still shook by how profoundly excellent that was. Sure it’s expensive, but it is absolutely worth it. Top 3 meal of my life and so obviously the best sushi and maybe the best restaurant in Philadelphia.
Best place in Philly for omakase! Everyone is super lovely and had great knowledge of sake. The menu is super seasonal and changes constantly. Highly recommend!
High quality Japanese food for serious foodies. Love this place. The fish is super tender and the chefs do a great job with perfect amount of rice and wasabi in each bite.It is pricey so we only come here for special occasions. Note that there are 5 seatings (5 to 9:00 pm on the hour).
Great experience. Yes, it’s expensive, I would suggest you go here for a very special occasion. To put in perspective, I spent $560 dinner for two with alcohol. Obviously if you don’t get alcohol it will be much cheaper. In addition, I got Japanese sake sample and it was definitely worth it. The food was extremely delicious.
I like sushi, but was uncertain going in if I'd like the full experience at Hiroki. It was awesome - the food and sake pairing is fantastic. The service is absurdly good. It's a small restaurant, but cozy and warm. Highly recommended.
Loved this place. Chef and wait staff very attentive. Sushi is fresh. I encourage the sake pairing.
Went to Hiroki for the first time and had an enjoyable meal. Great variety of fish that seemed to be of high quality. There was one course with red meat which was the wagyu beef. It was topped with truffles but they didn’t taste like anything which was strange. Uni was really good. Given the price tag and what we got it’s not at the top of my list for omakase experiences here in Philly but it was definitely enjoyable.
A classic sushi restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The omakase dinner tasted great, and without ruining the surprise the hand roll at the end was special. Sake pairing was well suited and dessert was light and sweet.
The food was good quality and we enjoyed the flavors of our meal. This review relates to experience only. The gap in our experience was hospitality. We were given no time to savor what was in front of us and told that we needed to eat our sushi while the rice was "still warm". It was so rushed that my sister got sick halfway through the meal because she can't eat quickly.I also shared this was a birthday celebration before arrival and...nothing? Obviously not expecting a spectacle at a restaurant of this caliber but there was no acknowledgement or little something special to warrant asking me if there was any special occasion when I made a reservation.I feel your money is better spent elsewhere
