Somewhat small place but fast service. The ramen selection was not extensive but good enough. Nothing blew me away - but nothing disappointed either. A solid ramen place.
Fantastic ramen, fresh and springy noodles with a broth worth traveling for. Appetizers were also appealing and worth finishing.
Fabulous ramen, super well done and very very quick.We ordered the Gates of Hell, the Black Pig, and the Porfilio ramen bowls, and an order of Karaage. Ramen was $13 each and $9 for karaage. Dinner for 3 at $60 including tip is a good value in my opinion. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the pork belly chashiu was so tender it was falling apart! I had the black pig which was phenomenal with lots of black garlic oil. I added togarashi for slightly more spice. They also have a spice bomb option for any type of ramen they offer. I thought the Porfilio broth tasted too strongly of corn since it has corn in it, but I’m also very sensitive/picky. Server was friendly and the service was super fast. Ambience is nice too.They are cash only which is an important note. Not an issue for us but nowadays many people do not carry cash. ATM was nearby however as we overheard the neighboring table did not realize it was cash only until time to pay the bill.Also the server (maybe owner?) mentioned they close early some nights since the pandemic since they are less busy. He said to call ahead to ensure they are open (it says open til 10pm online but they closed the kitchen by 8:30 when we were there). They also offer takeaway and BYOB, plus they have a veggie ramen option!
This is for me the best place to eat ramen! I like that they have a very simple menu but with a good variety of options, the place is so cozy and makes you feel like we are in Japan for real. Just be aware that they only accept cash!
This is definitely one of Philadelphia's underrated ramen spots. They offer spicy ramen which seems to be difficult in the area. They do not accept cash on many of their days of the week, only credit card or venmo. They charred the pork belly exceptionally well too.
The best ramen I've ever had! I recommend the Gates of Hell and Black Pig ramens. The karaage is also delicious! Our server was lovely and helped my sister learn how to use chopsticks.
Dad & son shop. The karagge was delicious. The ramen was also really good. Everything was quickly served and on point. I would definitely be back, multiple times.
Best Karaage in Philly. Hands down. I crave it on a regular basis, honestly. The ramen is also extremely flavorful, you really can't go wrong with any of the choices. The only negative thing I'll say about this place is that the bathrooms are kind of dirty; I wish they would do a better job of maintaining the cleanliness there.
I believe this is some of the best ramen in the city!! Cash only but delightful!
I wish I took a picture because the meal was as beautiful as it was delicious. I got the vegetarian ramen and added an egg! Also got a side of seaweed salad -- best I've had. Can't wait to eat here again.
