Brought our pups here with us for some lunch. We were blown away with how good the food was & how nice the staff were, especially towards the dogs. The outdoor seating area was dog friendly. Totally recommend the bang bang shrimp & the fried mozzarella!
Great burgers and beer. Had a Good Dog burger which was cooked perfect to order and the center stuffed with fromage cheese. I've had a lot of burgers in my days, but honestly, this was one if the best burgers I've ever had! Fries come with it and they give you plenty of them, and they have a great seasoned flavor to them. Left full but not to the point of being over stuffed. Great wait staff. Very friendly bar and will definitely stop here on my next trip in the city! Thanks Good Dog!!! (5 WOOF Rating!!)
As soon as we walked in, they made you feel like a regular. Went for a late lunch and enjoyed the music, bartender and food. The pics of all the dogs was a plus. It’s an unassuming place, but I’ll be back because it felt like home.
Took quite a long wait for the food.Shoe string fries are pretty standard and decent fried fresh.Hamburgers, for the patty, very juicy and large portion of meat, when took a bite the juice filled over ur mouthThe melt is also out of expectation, for a person that prefers harder bread the toast is quite like a sourdough but harder and cooked with some fat on it that makes it naturally crispy, and soft on the inside on the picture u could see how soft it is in the bread. It is definitely worth getting it.Would give 5 stars if the food didn't took that long but overall just for the food would give it a solid 4.5 stars
My wife and I were in town to see a play at the venerable Walnut Street Theatre and were staying at the Doubletree. We decided to give Good Dog bar a visit as its just a block and a half away. Good Dog is just a small little joint with some good character. Lotsa B&W photos of dogs adorn the walls. Good beer prices. But best of all is the food! My wife had the burger which she said may be the amongst the best she’s ever had. I had the Poke bowl which I will tell you is the best I’ve ever had! We will return!
We ate outside and the heat lamps kept us toasty in the afternoon. The food was amazing. We got the mussels and the burger. Dipping your fries in the mussels is definitely a recommendation. Everything was tasty and delicious. Service was efficient and tables felt clean. Would definitely go back.
Awesome bar in center city! Grab a spot at the bar for drinks or booth for din. Great service, everything came out quick. My steak was delicious and bang bang shrimp appetizer was bangin! Will be back for happy hour sometime soon, thanks!
We ate outside in the afternoon, and the heat lamps kept us warm. The food was fantastic. We ordered mussels and burgers. It is highly recommended that you dip your fries in the mussels. Everything was excellent and yummy. The service was prompt, and the tables appeared to be clean. I'd definitely return.
Turkey chili was fantastic, and shoe string fries were really good too. But the Mac and cheese was (imo) kind of bland, and both burgers our party ordered came out undercooked and had to be sent back. Experience was good enough I would definitely go back and give it another shot, but probably not on a Sunday night/Boxing Day next time!
