Cash-only coffee staple in the Italian Market. Their specialty drinks, coupled with La Colombe beans, makes this place my go-to. Staff are very gracious and friendly as well! The honey rose latte is particularly delicious if you want to get out of the usual classic espresso offerings. Would recommend!
My new favorite coffee spot! I ordered one of the specials and I wasn’t disappointed; Half coffee half hot chocolate! What made my experience even more brighter, was the beautiful ladies and their bright attitudes! The art in the shop was so dope and different woman made the quilts on the wall! I will be returning soon!
Simply the best :) They are so friendly, genuine, and their drinks are delicious. Highly recommend going around the holiday season for a special treat!
Amazing customer service. Extremely nice and knowledgeable about the area, felt very welcomed during my first visit. They even put a cute stocking sticker on my cup before giving it to me. The little things matter and Gleaners is doing all of them exceptionally well. Highly highly recommend.
Gleaner's is a solid little cafe with great coffee (La Colombe) and delicious to-go bites like pastries, cookies, and maybe even a slice of pie! They also prepare all kinds of breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches, which are carefully made and quite yummy. The place is always packed and popular for good reason. That said, be aware that you will wait a LONG TIME if you go on a weekend morning and order any food items that need to be prepared, like those bagels. This morning I waited ONE HOUR for three peanut butter and jelly bagel sandwiches -- yes, you read that right. And hey, I get that sometimes food takes a while because the cafe is hoppin' and there's only one person slicing those bagels and maybe they're new, but 1) we're talking PB&J here, 2) they didn't have the bagel I wanted but decided to tell me AFTER I had waited one whole hour for these bagels, and 3) they need to be upfront about how long the wait's going to be. Had I known it was going to take one hour instead of the 30 minutes they claimed, I would have gone elsewhere. (I had already paid at the start and wasn't going to walk away.)Again, it's a good cafe that everyone loves, but I was just so irritated by this experience.
I almost hate to review Gleaner's, lest they become too popular: the hippy-dippy, artsy-fartsy gourmet coffee emporium in the heart of the Italian Market. Great latte and positive vibrations are free.
Super nice baristas and excellent Halloween decorations.
great coffee best service
Super friendly staff, they always make me happy!! Coffee is great!!No wifi, but cozy atmosphere!!
Best coffee house in town. Incredible staff. Home to the best breakfast sandwich. The painkiller. Pro tip: ask for the painkiller with tomato and basil. You won’t find anything else like it!
