I came here by bus on a Sunday evening in mid June 2022. Through the online reservation, you pay for the $130-meal upfront. Including tax and gratuity, it came out to $169 total per person - all paid upfront, which was nice because, unless you want the wine pairing, you do not have to worry about anything when you get there.I found the meal quite delightful and filling. I had to bring the last savory dish home because I couldn't finish it. The Crudo and Spring Vegetables were very nice with delicate flavors. The rest of the meal left a huge impression on me and was surprisingly tasty. The Gemelli was salty but had the perfect amount of crunch with just enough pasta to keep you wanting more. The Sweetbreads was outstanding. It was a bit sweet, fatty, savory, creamy - it had everything! I'm so glad this was the first place I've ever had them. The sauce for the Fish dish was incredible. Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of cream and acidity - just divine. The Grilled Quail was ridiculously good. Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of flavoring and acidity. I never had a quail I liked this much. That pate that came with it and the bread was to-die-for.BBQ Veal Cheek was also very balanced and super tasty. Too bad I was already SO full. The dessert was very nice as well. They even gave me an extra pastry and hot tea for dessert for free.Getting reservations was surprisingly easy. I just booked the night before and I found an open seat. Mind you, I'm only one person so reservations are generally easier. Definitely worth a try if you're in Philly.

Friday Saturday Sunday was incredible. The tasting menu was one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and was fully worth the price. Every dish was pretty spectacular, but our favorites were the veal cheek and the squid ink gemelli with scallop XO and razor clams. Excellent service and wine by the glass as well.

Second year in a row celebrating our anniversary here! The tasting menu is always AMAZING, highly recommend the beverage pairing with it! Service was excellent. I truly couldn't ask for a better dining experience in Philadelphia

Quite possibly one of my favorite dinner experiences to date. Excellent atmosphere, entire staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. The tasting menu simply got better with each dish. It was worth the price for me, hope to be back next time I am in Philadelphia.

Easily one of the best tasting menus I've ever had. I went last year and had an entirely different, yet equally delicious, menu. The service was perfect and the staff never failed to go the extra mile to provide an excellent experience. A little expensive, but entirely worth it for an unforgettable meal.

Amazing cocktails in a low key bar away from the hustle of Philly

The hidden gem of Philly. Best place I went on my trip! Paul the bartender and Daniella from the kitchen are the best. Delicious food, great music, and an unforgettable experience. After you are done, go down to the bar with Paul. Best drinks in town!!

Best bartenders, delicious cocktails, and great quality food. Haven’t done the tasting menu but have sat multiple times downstairs and ordered appetizers and cocktails and have never been disappointed. Feel like every single ingredient there is quality

I love this place and appreciate the lengths they went through to stay open through the pandemic while serving their customers. Chef Chad is the truth!!! The bar is my favorite place to sit and eat. I have come there many times. The vibes remind me of living in New York. People are social. The music is on par. Admittedly I miss the a la carte menu. It was amazing!!! Bring the coco bread pork belly sandwich with oxtail gravy back!!! lol

Prior to COVID this was the up and coming re-invented landmark to be reckon with. Food and drinks equally creative and outstanding. However, they initiated a forced tasting menu since COVID and it is now unbearable. No options for pescatarians or vegetarians (which I am not by the way) so be warned if that impacts you. There are no substitutions or accommodations whatsoever. The tasting menu which admittedly changes often, feels forced. This forced creativity does not translate into a pleasurable dining experience. While the best tasting menus take you to new places you may not have thought of trying before, this one enters mainly familiar elements with un-necessary accompaniments just for shock value. It's not well executed and flavors are left individualized versus complimenting each other. It's mainly a strange combination of ingredients, like the chef lacks the experience of a true tasting menu. Hope it returns to a l carte soon. A tasting menu option only has no place in this establishment. It does not fit well with the cocktail options or the vibe of the place and F-S_S certainly does not boast a wine cellar that can support the endevour.
