Freddy and Tony is a fair place for Puerto Rican dishes. If you like Spanish food you will like this place. They serve roast pork, rice & beans, and seafood, like shrimp and octopus.
First time eating here and the food was above par!! The rice is delicious and authentic!! Super flavorful and just everything you want in Puerto Rican rice and beans. The empanadas are outstanding they pack them full of meat and full of flavor and the dough was soft and crunchy. Highly recommend this spot if you want some really good Puerto Rican food!!!
Polite customer service. A lot of bang fir your buck. Authentic, not clumpy rice is a welcoming site. The taste wasn't bad either. They took care to triple wrap my meal and unclude plastic utensils to go.
Ok my second time here and I just catch them closing and to my surprise they give me free relleno de papa and alcapurrias. The service lady was amazing! And the food is good and prices is ok compare to other latin restaurant in the area. Portion of the food is decent too.
I purchased 3 salad de polio con tostones, 3 alcapurria, 2 beef pastelitos, 2 LG arroz con gandules and 1 half chicken (on Sunday April 24th,2022)total 116.to 120.00 . When I gave her the money , I noticed the other lady said something to her when I ask was everything OK did I give to much or to less she stated I was OK, than I noticed she ripped my receipt, I asked where's my receipt she stated in the bag the lady was acting really weird when I got home inDelaware/ Maryland to count my money I noticed I gave her 250.00 instead of 150.00 the hundred dollars are new 100.00 dollars bills and they stick together and I didn't realize it... YOU COULD OF BEEN HONEST INSTEAD OF BEING A THIEF, PLUS ON TOP OF THAT I GAVE A TEN DOLLAR TIP , I HOPE EVERYONE ? THIS AND MAKES SURE THEY DONT GET ROB LIKE I DID .... BECAREFUL THEIR EMPLOYEE STEALS!!!!! I REMEMBER YOUR FACE !!!!
I’ve lived in Philly my entire life & somehow never been here until today. The food was so good! My favorite yellow rice & beans with chicken, I know basic. We bought so much & everything was amazing. We’ll definitely be back. The service was great also. 10 out of 10 recommend!
This my go too spot food definitely be on point
I used to come here as a kid and the food was amazing. However, the set up now is horrendous, the customer service is somewhat slow(40 minutes for chuletas and arroz con gandules) & they are doing a million things while taking your order.. and the “frituras” I bought were dry, and no variety of empanadillas. I’m disappointed ?
They have one of the best Puerto Rican food in Philadelphia.
