German Pretzels Beer Gardens
(215) 634-3338

There is indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat outside, it was lovely. You have to go to each window (food, beer) to place your orders. The food is very, very good. Small details like homemade apple sauce and maybe even homemade sour cream was very impressive. I would love to come back again when we have more time. Overall very impressed with the food, venue and beer ?

It's a beer garden with way above average food. Definitely not your typical menu of so-so comfort food. They have delicious, traditional German dishes including Wiener Schnitzel, spätzle and a variety of homemade sausage. Your food is brought to you after ordering at the counter. There is indoor seating but in nice weather most people sit outside at the picnic tables. Most tables have umbrellas so there's plenty of shade. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and they had a live German band. The food was fantastic. The Wurst platter had all 5 of their German sausages and homemade kraut. The potato pancakes were very good as was the Wiener Schnitzel, spätzle and German potato salad. They also have gourmet burgers, fries and soft pretzels for the less adventurous. We'll go back when craving the foods we grew up eating.

One of my go-to spots for delicious food and drinks and a good time with friends, whether I'm out for a casual lunch or a chill night at any time of the year! Highly recommend the wurst sampler if you're not sure what to get, but the German ravioli and the burger are also really good.Great selection of drinks. If you're not a beer drinker, their bartender make pretty tasty cocktails. If you are a beer drinker, there are tons of options though I always go for the Schoefferhoeffer.A bit on the pricier end, but overall totally worth. Cozy, comfy vibes all around!

Excellent sausages & schnitzel. the reuse pretzel was awesome and the cheese add on worth the extra cost. They have a full menu of German beers in different styles & true German sizes as well as a few micro IPAs. It's a little like Oktoberfest without the lederhosen.

Fun German beer garden! Lots of options for food and drinks and we got to play card games and jenga at our table

Most amazing German food I’ve ever had. Love the vibe here - first come, first served seating, outside fire pits. Get the Bavarian pretzel with the cheese sauce!

The worst food I've ever ordered anywhere, ever in my life, anywhere in the world. I'm not disgruntled, and I'll probably be back to try their drinks. It was just quite literally the worst food I've ever ordered. It was dry, tasteless, nothing specifically wrong but holistically there was just nothing good about it. If the owner reads this, I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm not upset, this was just honestly and objectively the worst sandwich of my life.I invite the owner to try the chicken schnitzel sandwich and reply here and honestly tell me it tastes good. It doesn't. I wouldn't eat one if it was free. Like I said, I have nothing wrong with this place, it's a nice vibe and I'll probably be back, just don't even think about ordering food. Some of the beers were fine, they cost $8. Had a nice time anyway because of the great company I had.

Great spot for family but not over-the-top w/ kids. Great food and great staff.

We came to this spot for dinner. my friend recommended this place. Well, we were not disappointed. the crew were so friendly and we had a great feeling. The meal was delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. We recommend this place to all.

Great spot to meet up with friends, and enjoy some good German beers and food. Only down side is the smoke from the fire pits during the colder months. It’s nice to have the extra heat, but it makes it hard to breathe both inside the building and out, and you leave smelling like smoke.
