Like many other reviewers here, their bagels are good, but their service is horrendous. The staff are consistently slow; they often get it wrong; they lack efficiency and often display a begrudging attitude, as if you are annoying them because you have the audacity to order. It wouldn't take much for management to train staff properly - to train in efficiency, courtesy, accuracy, and customer service. It reflects a lack of care on the part of owners’ and management.

Fitzwater bagels makes great sandwiches. Their service is absolutely awful though. Never pick up their phone, they claim that they turn their egg machine off at noon and cant do anything with egg. They often mess up the order, usually every other time. Really good but only on a good day.

Left on hold for 10 minutes when I called for an order. Eventually walked to order at the store. I was the only one three with the workers - still on hold. Eventually hung up and called back to see if I could get through even after I ordered in the shop. Received a busy signal the entire time. I'm assuming they still had me on hold and just never answered the phone. This has happened beforeThree stars because the sandwiches were good and made correctly

Amazing coffee and bagels on a charming corner near Rittenhouse square

I live a block away from this bagel place and have gone many times. I'm sad to say that the service is consistently terrible. As an example, today I ordered a bagel ahead. When I arrived, there were no other customers in the store and it looked like the three employees were all unoccupied. No employee acknowledged me for over a minute, and it was only after I paid for the order that they got to work making the bagel. Obviously, this isn't a huge deal, but in a neighborhood without another bagel place around, and with many potential customers, this place could do so much better.

The food they put in their breakfast sandwiches isn’t fresh. They microwave their eggs and precooked meat instead of cooking it on a griddle made to order. The bagels aren’t impressive and are small in sizes. The everything bagel I usually get doesn’t have that much seasoning on it. I’ve come here multiple times over a couple years with hope that I would have a better experience. It’s a disappointment every time. A complete ripoff for an $8 breakfast sandwich.

I question their food storage. I ordered a bagel with Sliced cheese and the cheese looks very dried out and stale? Same thing with the lox bagel, the lox was hard on the edges? Need to work on keeping food fresher

An alright place, but wouldn't say I highly recommend it. It was nice to see that they had some bagels left by the late afternoon I was there, yet the service was very long(there were only 2 orders), and the bagel lacked spread. The bagel and salmon were nice though.

They asked me to order thru the window, because I didn’t have a mask available. Let me remind you it’s January and it’s roughly 17’ degrees outside. It’s policy she mentioned, we’ll have masks handy then, there relatively in expensive. I would of suggested they take my order bring it to the car which was parked out front and ask me that next time I come, could I bring a a mask. Don’t worry I won’t be back! Bagels we’re lowsy anyway

Great selection of bagels and spreads. A lot of folks come here for the sandwiches, but I also just get my week's worth of bagels to go.
