Slow Service is not the word for it. My sister ordered me breakfast for my birthday. She ordered it at 9:56 AM and they told her 40 minutes. It finally arrived at 11:30 AM and it was cold when it delivered. I only live a few blocks away from the place. The place is going downhill fast. Horrible service. Horrible!!!!
I went there a couple times it was good and we didn't have to spend $20 to be charged we went this time we got charged 20% on the check which I don't understand and I asked the lady to show us where the sign was and it's behind the ATM machine I will never go back there ever again the place sucks
My group was in walking distance to this place, so we went three days in a row. Food wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing either. My group went Thursday-Sat, and there were three of us. Each day we asked for separate checks before ordering. Thursday and Friday it was fine. On Sat at the end of our meal our waitress brought us one check and hurried away. She seemed irritated the moment we walked in. They were not busy. We bring our check up tot the counter and ask again for it to be split. We are then informed that checks can't be split on the weekends. Of course our waitress didn't disclose that. The poor girl ringing us up tells us she will do it for us since we didn't have cash. She rings up my part, and then the manager rushes over screaming that they don't split checks on the weekend and there's a sign right there. She points at an empty piece of glass where I guess a ghost sign exists. She starts screaming at the worker in front of us, it was really unprofessional. We asked to void the bill and we would figure it out amongst ourselves. They couldn't do that either and insisted we had to pay cash. They kept trying my friends card saying the system wouldn't let them split the meal on weekends and it won't go through. She ended up getting charged 5 times. I've never been treated so rudely or with such disrespect at a restaurant. We told them if they had just informed us when we originally asked we either would have gone somewhere else or figured it out between us. i would avoid this place, rude staff and mediocre food.
Went there on 5/31 around 9:45pm with my fiancé. This was the only diner that didn’t close at 10pm. Our son has been at CHOP for 3 weeks and wanted breakfast for dinner. It was about an 18 min drive. On 3 occasions we saw mice running around. While the waitress was apologetic, she blamed it in construction. We looked around and saw no “construction” being done. She said she would “let her boss know”. But she didn’t seem surprised by it like it’s been a problem. Food was ok but after seeing the mice running around I lost my appetite. Would never go there again.
I’ve had breakfast here a few times. It’s literally a diner with diner food like you went to as a kid… so pay little mind to the sub-par reviews about food. The menu is extensive and everything I’ve gotten has been solid. The staff is on top of everything and generally pleasant.
We usually have a great meal and excellent service however, this time I cannot say that the service was even good. We waited at least a half an hour for our food except for another person in our party that waited much longer. If all the food is not ready at the same time it should not be served!! We were almost done with our food when their plate came. The food was sitting under the light and the waitress totally never went to it. Plus she was outside!!
Never thought to ask what’s on a veggie wrap but I learned my lesson… came with frozen carrots green beans and cauliflower??? I had to ask for cheese and dressing or that would be it… they forgot the dressing too… only gave them more than one star because my boyfriend said his chicken wings are good.
Y’all, when I say this place has some of THE BEST food!! They do MIRACLES in that kitchen❤️ They are always courteous as well! I initially was headed to my favorite spot “Green Eggs Cafe” and I saw this diner across the street and thought I’d give them a try well..I’ve been back three times and EVERYTHING is delicious…they make a Hot Reuben Sandwich…LAWD!!! See y’all again soon!
Great diner, serving classics with a huge menu. I love their burgers and sandwiches, but their breakfast is also great. Go early to get ! table, it can get busy!
We had a great experience. This place offers everything you look for in a great diner. It offers an extensive, yet not overwhelming, menu. The service was stellar. Our server was attentive, engaging, and intuitive with the most delightful Jersey accent I've ever heard. The food was great. This is definitely a place we'll be frequenting on each visit to Philadelphia. I can't wait to go back!
