Very fun and cozy! We came in kinda late in the evening and grabbed a high top on the first floor, split some apps and had a couple drinks each. Service was no-frills but attentive, and vibes were great. Drinks reasonably priced and a great selection. We got Pete’s wings and the pub fries with beer cheese, both of which were excellent and great portion sizes. Beer cheese was our favorite. We’ll definitely be back!
We came here for dinner while staying in City Center for a trip to Philadelphia. The hostess knew to put us (with our 4 elementary aged kids) upstairs, away from the other patrons. Mike the bartender allowed our kids to play on the band stage (which was not in use) while serving us drinks and dinner. There wasn't a kids menu (like almost everywhere we went in Philly) but we found fries that were unseasoned (and delicious!) as well as pita and humus for them to enjoy. I enjoyed a Guinness (on tap) with my Creamy Bacon and Potato Soup. All in all, I highly recommend this place! I would like to return sometime when there's live music. I'm sure it's a blast!
FERGIES!!!!!What a beautiful place of culture good drink and eats.The bottom floor boasts a full bar and kitchen with daily specials and warm atmosphere.The bartenders are kind and attentive.Upstairs is a more intimate version of the aforementioned.Live music and bursting with energy and enthusiasm.Make sure you stop by and ask for a city wide as they pick much better selections then your typical well and low quality beer for your satisfaction.Eat drink be merry at fergies
Great food! The reason it gets a two star experience is because the waitress, for some reason (she wouldn't tell us why) threw the bill down on our table and said "pay and don't come back. I'm never serving you again." If we offended her somehow, we apologized but she didn't care. If you're going to do that to a customer, at a minimum tell them what they did wrong.
I always stop here for a drink when I get to Philly. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Great place to have a drink or a few.
Fun vibe for trivia, and the atmosphere was great, but we barely got any service all night, which was frustrating. Definitely come early for trivia if you want to get a table, and keep in mind that they max teams out at 8 people. Good selection of beer.
Nice relaxed vibe in this cozy "Irish Pub". Excellent menu, I highly recommend the roast beef and the grilled cheese. Great stop after a ball game, and the barman pours an excellent Guinness!
We ate there many years ago when it was the Hoffman House. Food was great then and it is still great now. Not many gluten-free options, but they were able to make a nice salmon plate for me. My wife had a wonderful roast beef sandwich platter and our friend had the best mac and cheese she ever had! Price was reasonable, too. We will go back!
Great spot in the heart of the city. Friendly staff and good live music at times. Good selection of beer on tap as well as food.
Service was a bit slow, but the food was good and tasty! The cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious, as was the burger.
