Hot, freshly-made donuts and fried chicken. What’s not to love? Or bring a mixed dozen of their fancy donuts to a party and be sure to get invited back next time! They close right on time, so make sure to get there early.

I'll give 2 stars for the donuts & coffee but honestly folks, DONT ORDER THE CHICKEN SANDWICH!! Once upon a time it was juicy, tender, crispy & seasoned perfectly but every one I've had over the past year is gross. What's worse is that they charge $8 for a cafeteria bun with an overdone stringy dry chunk of something resembling chicken. I tried to eat it because I was starving and couldn't just toss $8, but in hindsight the $8 would've tasted better.. sooo tough.Unless you're gonna change something about the preparation I think you should take it off the menu. I'm really tired of giving it another chance, only to find out it's even worse. Realistically I've probably thrown $50+ in the trash, hoping that they were dealing with Covid problems and that delicious sandwich from years ago would come back. But I give up.. Here is a photo of today's disaster,

We went toward the end of the day so they were out of most donuts. The chicken sandwich was delicious but the fries were a little dry.

Quite possible that Federal Donuts has the best chicken fingers on the planet. The chicken wings are also fantastic.

C'mon, it's Federal Donuts ?! What is there not to like? Every town should have a go-to donut shop and for Philly it's Federal Donuts. Yes, they have the fancy donuts for the gourmand but if you like a more traditional donut, they have those too. I enjoy almost all of them (they're not making them just for me, so that's fine - there's something for everyone... assuming you like donuts [what kind of monster doesn't like donuts?!?!]). Did I mention the chicken? Word is that it's pretty fantastic. I had a breakfast sandwich and let's just say that in my scramble to gobble it down, I forgot to snap a pic. It was delicious and the spicy relish made it extra-special

The chicken is good but not good enough for the price. The donuts though? THE DONUTS THOUGH?? Amazing. Absolutely worth it. Fantastic. Try something that you wouldn't normally, I got a bunch of weird ones and the only one I didn't like was the chili mango donut. That one was weird, but the rest probably the best donuts I've ever had.

These donuts will blow your mind!? Creative, beautiful and delicious and their chicken sandwich is not from this planet. I highly recommend federal donuts if you live in Philly or even if you live in the tri-state its worth the drive. Your welcome!

The bag fries are so important and way GrooviiZatar fries I believe that’s there name and there chicken sandwich are Groovii

I’ve been coming here for years with my kids and husband. Today I ordered 7 chicken sandwiches along with a dozen donuts. EVERY SINGLE SANDWICH I GOT WAS BURNT & ALMOST BLACK. It wasn’t even good enough to eat as it even tasted saltier than usual. I’m not even driving back since I live in Jersey and refuse to go back. But come on, have some ethics. You know you burned the batch then remake it even if it takes a little longer. I called 4 times, the place is empty (cause I just left there and there’s 3 employees) - someone can pick up the phone. Thee worst $100 spent thus far. I’ll take the longer drive and go to Samson instead. Absolutely Ridiculous.

Nice building with parking. Friendly staff. Writing this as I wait for my donuts. I expect the taste to be up to par with past experiences!
