Delicious food, excellent service! As you can see in the photo, the penne alfredo has real garlic in the sauce, the mozzarella sticks are fried to a perfect crisp and the pizza had a nice crisp crust too!more than the delicious food, the owner Y, is a real mentch- he stayed open late to cook a meal for myself and four kids when we were ‘stranded’ at the philly airport overnight ( our connectingflight home was canceled). he made sure we had bagels for breakfast and sufficient paper goods to serve the food with. all this done with kindness and humor. thank you!
I was very impressed with the service! Truly excellent and very friendly. The food was pretty good. It's what you would expect of a regular breakfast, lunch type of place. It's a very casual vibe, nothing fancy.

The food and service at Expresso Cafe was excellent. Being an Israeli restaurant, the food was a blend of Middle Eastern with a touch of American and Jewish foods. The food is mostly vegetarian with fish options as well. We enjoyed the falafel and hummus, the vegetarian pizza, mozarella sticks, and the salad especially was an excellent value. Serving sizes were good. Taste was a bit light, but also well seasoned, not overly salty or saucy. The yogurt dill sauce and marinara dipping sauce was pretty good. Some improvements could be made to the thickness of the marinara sauce, and maybe an ingredient to hold the pizza together a bit better (a flour with more gluten, perhaps, or more yeast time, not really sure), but generally it was very good.
Great service and food! Big shout out to Yoram who went above and beyond to take care of my family even though we came around closing and most the staff left.. I highly recommend!
