Do not miss this restaurant. Excellent food in taste and presentation. It is BUSY-so go early. Staff was very kind even as they rushed around serving.
Came to Philly on an errand. Searched for a breakfast place nearby and found this by chance. Ended up with one of the best Eggs Benedicts I’ve ever had and good latte. Menu all looked great couldn’t decide what to get. Super cute place. Was busy, but super efficient and friendly.
I’ve had a wonderful breakfast here. I was seated at the windows at the front of the cafe to have a nice view on the street in front. The waitresses and waiters were super nice and friendly and most importantly: The food was fantastic. I had the „Philly Benny“ and a Nutella Hot Chocolate. Can absolutely recommend both!! 5 stars for sure.?????
DELICIOUS. the best brunch spot I've probably ever eaten at. super cute place. there was a short wait to sit bit our food came out quick! incredible fried chicken. highly recommend the pesto truffle egg toast. my mom got the smash avocado benny and she loved it.we parked in a parking lot a block away!
Overrated. Very busy with slow service and bad smell
Really nice spot in Philly, great tasting food and nice portion sizes. Good coffee too. The only flaw is the very slow service, however, everything is made completely fresh and you can tell. Delicious food and women owned which is lovely, definitely a great place to visit for brunch. For $50 me and a friend got 3 mains and 2 large iced lattes.
This little spot is just as the name implies, eggcellent! If you are looking for an awesome breakfast/brunch spot near Old Town Philadelphia, eggcellent Cafe is a must try. Small and unique Cafe with a ton of delicious options on massive food and drink menus. Not gonna lie, almost too many options to choose from and they all sound amazing.Try this place!
We've been here for brunch. We've tried the Egg Benny and De olde?(it's shaved beef). The food here is just like the name, excellent! We really love the Benny. The home potatoes are good as well. If you like breakfast and eggs, definitely give the place a try!
Stopped by here for breakfast!! We had Royal Lox Benny, Hot chick sandwich- spicy fried chicken with an over easy egg, and Berry cheesecake French toast!! We also had a couple of their amazing smoothies. Definitely get there early. Gets packed fast!
In Philly for the first time, we found Eggcellent on Google & I have already referred all of my in-town friends to go here. I had a custom omelet, my friend had the fried chicken eggs Benedict (don't remember the actual name) and we shared the French toast. Everything was amazing. BUT best of all, the Vietnamese iced coffee was truly life changing. Their grandpa makes it for the restaurant and if I could get one (or 3!) every single day, I would. It is perfectly rich, thick, and just the right amount of sweetness. I've thought about it multiple times a day since ?. Do yourself a favor & eat here!
