whole experience was very bad from drinks at the bar and app that took longer then the dinner that was very bad. After sitting down to eat sit me at a table that is broken and chairs that look like them never been clean and top that sit right next to the door to kitchen great for celebrating a anniversary no point point that information on Rev and tell host when asked. After that each item for dinner was bad each order duck over cooked and no taste and place on plate with no care. The food looked like I was eating at chili's restaurant just throw on the plate. Only thing was good was the drink but took so long get drinks so maybe that why it was good whole time this food waste money. And as a Chef very disappointed and sad. Have the look but it not with food or cleaning bathrooms was dirty and table and chairs would I come back no would I let people know about this place no. So sad. Because I choose this restaurant. And so many I could went too. Only good thing was server she know everything was wrong and said sorry but she can't control the food and other things that happen. Here's photo of drink only thing that was good. And that took over 15 to get.

I never wanted to like a restaurant more than this. The atmosphere, the staff, the over vibe was perfect. I was excited to do the tasting menu and each dish came out super quickly and had amazing preparation. But then I tasted them, and each dish was slightly off somehow. The scallops were slightly fishy or the meat was slightly underseasoned or the rice was too sweet or etc... each dish was close to being good but missed the mark. I did however really enjoy my experience there given the ambiance and large portions made me get my money's worth.

The Japanese food here is some of the best. For places that try to bring modern Japanese to a swanky atmosphere and incorporate candle light and cocktails, maybe no one in Pennsylvania does it better. The attention to detail in these small plates is evident. With these small plates comes the opportunity to try a large selection and I'd recommend doing just that. Our sushi was spot on, our skewers were cooked just right, and out dumplings were full of flavor. I'm not giving this 5 stars for one reason alone; poor reservation management. The reservation was easy to make. We got there (party of two) 1min ahead of out reservation time. The host told me it would be "a few moments." 20min after my reservation time we were still waiting. I was told the delay was due to our table not being set. I asked if we were waiting on another party to leave and was told that was not the case. I was finally sat 23min after my reservation time. I know times are hard and staff can be hard to come by. But if your establishment cannot handle the volume, then don't allow for so many reservations. A 23min delay does not encourage re-patronage.

Food, absolutely delicious, all 10 courses of the tasting menu. Sake, perfectly paired. Ambiance was just right and the service impeccable. Coming from the business, it's hard to find a place that checks all the boxes. Double knot checks all boxes and more. I've finally found my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia :)

Always a great time, best tasting in the city! Hazel is a saint and always delivers a great experience. Their knowledge of sake is amazing! Food was impeccable, we went with all choices we’ve never tried and found some new favorites in the Creamy Udon and Pork Belly.

There were 4 of us in our party, and the 4th was stuck in traffic trying to park the car on a rainy and busy night. The hostess refused to seat us until the 4th person was physically present, and even threatened to give away our table. It was a birthday celebration, and this really put a damper on it. We did not understand why we could not be seated to start ordering so that when the 4th was able to park and join us, things would be ready-we had theater tix, so time was of the essence. I understand protocols and procedures, but there should be exceptions for realistic situations that cannot be avoided. Managers failed to remedy the situation- it was another hostess that in the end seated us before the 4th in the party arrived. And to add insult to the situation, there were 2 empty tables next to us that remained empty for the entire time we were there. We were offered no apologies or anything else for the 45 minute inconvenience. Service after that was just as incompetent.

Delicious full of flavor Japanese tapas. All of the food was flavorful and it comes out quickly. Hey have a large drink selection from tequila to wine to saki. Topped the night off with an espresso martini that you can order but it’s not on the menu. The Japanese crispy chicken is my favorite but the Kobe beef skewers are runner up. Beef dumplings are full of flavor.

I am so happy we chose Double Knot for dinner. Everything was perfect. They host a daily Happy Hour from 4-7 & let me tell you nearly every seat was full within 15 minutes. We enjoyed 5-6 small plates and each was better than the next. We proceeded downstairs to a seemingly secret, lovely, dark dining room with a sizable sushi bar. Once again we were wowed with delectable dishes. The cocktails were sophisticated and tasty. The sushi was extremely fresh and unique. Especially loved the lazy bao, duck bibimbop, short rib robatayaki, Double Knot big eye tuna (& everything else). Staff is also amazing, particularly Andrea and the bartenders upstairs. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thanks for a great evening.

We just had the best dinner! We got the chefs tasting menu and we let the chef pick most of the courses. We loved the double knot sushi, yellowtail, Japanese scallops, tuna rice cracker, sea bass and mochi. Wow, so good! And superb service as well.

My girlfriend and I can here tonight to celebrate our first year anniversary and this place was incredible. We were seated downstairs in the corner from the bar. We were greeted by a very nice and welcoming waitress. I loved her energy and vibe; she made the night extra special for us. We ordered the tasting menu and a few of their cocktails and everything was 10/10. The place was beautiful, and everything about it was great. Again, we were very impressed by the food and the friendly service by the waitress. We will definitely be coming back again.
