This is one of our go-to places in Chinatown. The soup dumplings are excellent as are the pork sauce noodles. The service is always good and even though there is often a wait, we would wait for a long time to eat these delicious dishes again and again.

We waited and waited and waited. I received my order about 45 minutes after everyone else at the table. * No drink refills whatsoever* they gave us dirty water cups filled with water that had stuff floating in it. I was definitely not drinking that.My soup dumplings were hard and had absolutely no broth left because it absorbedinto the dumpling while sitting out. It was apparent they forgot about them. After another half hour I managed to get the bill and of course they are cash only. Probably to avoid people disputing charges on their card for terrible food and service.I tried telling the server what's wrong but she acted like she didn't understand English very well. I think this is the only time I have ever left a restaurant without tipping.

1st 4 times starting 5 yrs ago were excellent. Recent visit: no line (bad sign), bathrooms were beyond awful, service was between rude & uninterested, and sadly food was blan, poorly prepped & so-so. Sincerely hope they recover before it’s too late.

For the price, Dim Sum Garden is a glorious cascade of dumplings, steamed and fried, and Chinese delights, each tastier than the last. Served quickly by a very nice staff who made sure our experience was great. Even though we arrived only an hour before closing with a party of 8 and a packed restaurant they made room for us. We averaged about 35$ after tip per person, but every person left fully satisfied, and some a little stuffed. Would come here again in an instant.Do note that this place is Cash Only, but there is an ATM on site.A recommendation, if you're coming for a lot of dumplings etc, use the menu as a checklist and fill it out to give to your server, it made out ordering process much simpler.

Awful service. No greeting from staff, Came in and seated down , waitress just threw the menu on the table, we were all shocked. And tried not to mind it. Then she aggressively put the cups of water (plastic) down, spilled the water on the table and walked away. At this point, it was really rude of her. We didn't say anything, didn't even order yet.Food was alright, edible. Soup dumpling doughs were very thick and dry and filling tasted funny. Definitely not freshThis place was crowded, I expected decent food. Today I learned that in chinese if there's a lot of 'foreigners' then the food is not gonna be as good/authentic, it is true.

Xiao long bao— steam soup dumplings are awesome! Highly recommend it! Cash only here! Even you forget there’s an ATM around the entrance!;)

Beef and broccoli is good. (Also it’s cash only, they have an ATM by the door so don’t worry lol).

Its .. ok.Service was bad but i guess you don't need to expect too much. The soup dumplings are decent but the skin is definitely thicker than ones in used to although i haven't had too many soup dumplings in PhiladelphiaThe tripe was not that great either

The service was fast and excellent and the dumplings, especially the soup dumplings, were amazing! Be prepared to have leftovers, they will provide you with takeout containers. You can spend as much or as little cash and time at this place as you'd like. There is a litany of dumplings and soup dumplings to pick from, noodles are available as well and some more adventurous options if you're feeling up for it.The chili garlic eggplant dish was easily one of my favorite dishes there. You must try the eggplant!I saw on the menu that they were selling frozen dumplings for about a dollar a piece that you could take home and then cook for later. I haven't tried these but I'd imagine if you're a dumplings fan this is the way to go. Don't be surprised if you need to wait outside the restaurant, especially on weekends or evenings, the place is usually busy and when we were there the line went out the restaurant door.Be sure to check out Dim Sum Garden, you'll love it.*The restrooms are up the stairs towards the back of the restaurant, if you want a special treat be sure to walk up that way and you can look into the kitchen where you can see the staff working with incredible pace and efficiency in preparing the dumplings. It's a pretty cool sight to see :-)

we thought we would be waiting for a really long time in the cold but turned out it was very quick because we only went as 2 ppl -> good place for couple or small group of friends.we ordered 3 appetizers, 2 main dishes, and 2 drinks. Price was pretty affordable and there was a lot of food to bring home because we were too full. -> good price, nice food, pretty quick service for a crowded restaurant.the shao mai, pork buns, and soup dumplings were amazing (have them with the chili oil is even better). The general Tso chicken was fine and the sauce seems more "real" than other chinese places we've been.Overall it was nice, probably go back whenever we want chinese. one little inconvenience is that they only take cash but there's an atm right at the entrance so it's fine.
