Stopped for lunch, our first time there. Got fish and chips, seafood pizza, cheesesteak. Everything was delicious, service was great. Pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. Definitely will go back.
Some of the most thoughtfully prepared food in NE Philly, a la Chef Jack McPeak, and some of the most accommodating staff, as well. There’s a true family feeling here and it’s nice to have been able to experience the progression of the kitchen over the years. Very proud to have this place and it’s staff in NE Philly.
Great food and some unique items too. The kielbasa cheese steak was delicious and the muscles appetizer were very tender. Great service too!
This is the best food you Can get in Philly! Dagwoods has the same prices as Nick's Roast Beef and the food is. Little fancier and better quality in my opinion. I like both places but Dagwoods takes the cake. I also like Maggie's riverfront but Dagwoods food is best. The filet medallions are excellent, so is yhe surf and turf in cream sauce. The crab soup Nd French onion are excellent as well. The shrimp cocktails are 2.50 a piece and absolutely worth it. They are fresh and HUGE!Only complaint was the seafood smothered fries were too salty when I was there this Saturday. But I've ate so much food there and that was the only thing I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
Great restaurant, Jack is amazing and comes up with new menus constantly. The best seafood in the city delivered fresh every week. Oh and if I can’t make up my mind from the blackboard specials I get the Fish & Chips . FRESH
Always a great selection. Usually get oysters or the mussles(or both!) Nice sized portions, you won't leave hungry. Too many good items to list. This place is a winner!
Food is great! Definitely a small dining area but they make best use of space. Seafood is good, specials are unique.
Timing is out of syncFood is good and I like the local pub feeling but the food serving speed and sequence was completely wrong. To start off, I got my salad, then my appetizer and before we were finished, the meal showed up which was taken back by the waitress and returned after the apps were done. I felt that table turnover was their priority and rushing the customer was their objective. But, as I said before, it was good, and I will return to see if it was a one-time happening.

I’m always hesitant to try cheesesteaks at restaurants I’m unfamiliar with, but Dagwood’s changed this for me. I’d even go as far as to say that it was the best cheesesteak I have ever had. The service was great and the atmosphere friendly. Can’t wait to come back!
