I order delivery from you at least twice per week. Each single time you missed utensils regardless of how many notes I left. Your $38 lobster roll is very salty and the side salad is not fresh at all. ( I already thrown out many rotten leaves and it still looks horrible)
The mussels in red sauce with a little extra red pepper seeds add is the absolute best. As usual the crab fries are a must have. Always a good spot to grab a delicious bite.
We got seated right away for our reservation only to wait 35 minutes for a waitress to come. We had to go up to the hostess stand to ask for a server to come. When she finally came she was extremely inattentive and on the verge of rude. We continued to wait for simple things like napkins, silverware and even sauces that were suppose to come on the food that did not. It was as if we were bothering her because she had to wait on us. We come to Chickies and Peteâs a lot but the last 2 times have been absolutely awful with service. The franchise raised their prices which I could deal with if the service was better but it just is so had that it doesnât out way the increase in price point of the food.

So Chickies comes out with a well overdue new menu. Was very excited, but the food left a lot to be desired, so the excitement turned to disappointment. Service also disappointing this night. It was great seeing a new menu and new items. Something new was the seafood sauté. It is a spin on their Sicilian muscles. Instead of a bowl of mussels in red sauce they add - according to the picture and description a small lobster tail, shrimp and claims for an additional $11.00. Come on C&P, you're getting like Mickey D's with the false adverts. See pics below for more detail, but it was 95% mussels and one tiny thing I guess you would call a baby lobster. Maybe a fetus? Certainly not the size of the picture. It also included 4 clams, and 3 of what the texture felt like was canned shrimp. Small and tough and again not what the pic showed. Watch out for the bread. I mean really. You are in South Philly and you use a sloppy doughy roll. Sarcones is right up the road. Charge me an extra 50 cents for a decent roll - seeded in fact. The service wasn't that great tonight. The usual bartenders were not there and they two people behind the bar just couldn't pour a good cocktail. Of course, you always have the grumpy old guy at the back bar who is always so happy to see you. NOT! Enjoyable sports bar in south Philia but need to get it together on the food. I just don't understand why people pay for sub-par food without complaining. Speak up.
Food was comfort food and service was good
You can never go wrong with Chickie’s and Pete’s. Solid service and good food. Ordering on Uber Eats or going in person is always a good time.If you go, you need to try the crabby fries, a staple of the restaurant as well as their crab which is always good.I do like their white pizza pie and cheese steaks as well. The sandwiches are pretty good and other fish items. Fish tacos had a slight fishy taste which was unpleasant, but still pretty good.Dessert is a must have as there are a number of delicious options. My favorite being the chocolate indulgence cake and ice cream cake!Highly recommend, especially the crabby fries.
My boyfriend and I were visiting Philly, and the bartender at our hotel recommended this place. The food and atmosphere were amazing! Our server was very sweet. We really enjoyed our visit!
Chickie & Pete's in South Philadelphia is very good. The food is delicious epically the crab fries. MY family enjoyed it very much
