Great neighborhood bar. It gives me a feeling of tradition, stability. Hell, it's almost like going to church but with beer.
I came here for the first time tonight, the staff was incredibly kind and the food was incredible. The menu is super simple and written on a board. My friends and I came after sips so we just got food to help us sober up but we will be back for drinks again soon as well as to try even more of the menu. It’s a very old school place but quite possibly going to be come a longtime favorite.
Best hot roast beef sandwich in Philly and awesome service as well. Can't recommend this place more. Definitely a hidden gem

Needed a place to go while my wife and daughter were getting a Harry Potter fix at the Franklin Institute. This little place was close so I made the short walk. Great old corner bar vibe with kind patrons and employees. The roast beef is simply magical. I’ll be making occasional 1.5 hour drives up here just to get some more. If you’re in the area and enjoy cold beer and good roast beef, this should be your #1 destination.

The perfect neighborhood bar. The interior is welcoming and cozy. Both bartenders were incredibly kind. I saw a few of the roast beef sandwiches being prepared and they looked delicious. Had a really great time here and will surely be back.Edit: Did come back here after celebrating my birthday at the Mütter Museum and my initial review was correct. This place is the best. The bartenders are so kind and it makes for an outstanding visit. A great place to have a chat with people you care about.
