Wanted to check out this hidden gem in South Philly. Authentic Mexican food with friendly staff. Service was a little slow but the food was delicious. They had specials available. I got the "cheese steak". It was delicious but I wouldn't consider it a top Philly cheese steak contender. It's more like a panini. They also have outdoor seating.

Great Unique Restaurant ... enjoyed lunch with my son and wifeMy son recommended this place from his past experience with his wife. He's Vegan and they have some great options for him. I'll definitely be going again. Service and staff is great

Great tasting good, friendly staff, nice cozy ambience, good price. For takes a minute but totally worth the wait.Drinks are made wonderfully well.Staff is very nice.

I've had many of Philly's famous cheesesteaks in my time, but this one is my favorite! The bread, the steak meat, the seasoning, everything! I'll be back!

Loved the layout of this cafe. Small, cosy, and clean. Good coffee and great Mexican food for any meal. The staff were also super kind and friendly.

Super friendly service. Wonderful eats. Great prices, for portions that were just enough. I’m not a fan of restaurant left overs. So, that was a huge plus for me, on top of the delish food, and grand service.

Amazing oxaca hot chocolate, the food was amazing. Cute little place with a wide menu!

I throughly enjoyed my visit to Cafe y Chocolate. The drinks/coffee was great but the food took a very long time to come out. I think I would have enjoyed it a little more if my eggs and pancakes were hotter. All and all the service was great.

New favorite spot! Cute place, great service, food was beyond excellent. Cozy vibes. They check vaccine cards at the door, which made me feel more comfortable with dining in.

The food was definitely exceptional, but the service left something to be desired. First we ordered the soup and the tacos, we waited for 20 mins and the soup never made it to the table. The waitress was too busy tending to takeout orders and her own food which she subsequently ate adjacent to us and basically disregarded the fact that our food didn’t come out prior to her own. It was in poor taste to sit there with a paying customer and eat your food first and have no regard for whether or not we had ours. I hsvr worked in the restaurant industry before and I would have never intentionally sat in front of a paying customer and ate food first. Needless to say the etiquette has to be address. Take care of your customers first. Regardless don’t try to make up excuses for your mistakes and lapse in judgement you never known who the person is that you’re eating or tending to.the restaurant was practically empty there shouldn’t have been a reason for us to have waited for that long for our soup and tacos. The soup should have been brought out to the table first and foremost. I hope the owner of the establishment gets a chance to read this. No excuses for this type of neglect.
