We had dinner tonight and the food was exceptional! We were the only people in the restaurant tonight which was a little sad because the food and Lambrusco (wine) were amazing. We had the fried calamari, polvo (octopus with onions), Bife a Portuguesa, and Paehlha de Velenciana. So much delicious food and at amazing prices for the great quality of steak and seafood.Will definately come back the next time I'm in Philly.
This place is fabulous, The customer service is great. I love it because I can come with my family and have a nice dinner and I can also go downstairs to the bar and have fun. The owner of this place is extremely nice, costumer service oriented and the people are beyond pleasant bar and restaurant. I can recommend this place 100 times.
I ordered the garlic shrimp with a side of yellow rice and tostonas. First off it came out hot, the wait was quick, and the seasonings and flavor were so on point. this is gunna be my new spot! a hidden gem
Went there under a sad circumstance. However, the people I was with was all the LIVE!! Just got a little crowded for me and it was a lot of family!Will go there again when I get back to Philly.
My nephew and his wife always make reservations @ Cafe Liz, whenever they're in town. We all get excited about all the delicious food on the menu.My T-bone steak was well cooked and still tender. I added the shrimp in garlic and wine sauce. They're my favorite! My two sides of choice were white rice and tostones, and of course a glass of red sangria.FOOD IS YUMMY!!!!
The food was good, but after I left I realized that they charge more than it was written on the receipt.
We live in Philadelphia but had never gone to a Portuguese restaurant here. Cafe Liz is what we were looking for. It's not fancy or upscale, but it is the real thing -- authentic Portuguese food and families out for dinner. We had the paelha (one with and one without meats) and it was delicious. The portions were huge, so we took home enough for another dinner. The staff were polite and considerate. We loved it.
The customer service is excellent, the prices a bit high but it is worth it because the food is delicious and fresh, the seafood and meat of very good quality
