Loved it, service was smooth, food was excellent, drinks were good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cool, and had a really nice evening, looking foward to go back.Their Edamame Dumplings were excellent and something different from the usual, flavors and textures in the best way possible.Bao Bun with the Rock Shrimp was on point, shrimp was crunchy and tender, Bao Buns were soft and pillow like.We had a whole Branzino, which was delicately fried, flaky with crispy skin and the sauce with black beans was creative touch and it bought me back to a dish that enjoyed when I worked at a Asian place. (Won't disclose location.) ?Lo Mein was also really good, if I where to be nitpicking the Rice Noodles instead of egg noodles was not bad but I would have rather have the classic noodles.Dessert list it's probably the best dessert list I have seen in Philly. It took us a while to even decide what were we picking. That being said I love the creativity with the Creme Brulee, the plating was wierd though (looked like a nest). But it was really tasty and I beleive it can be better. More of that cinnamon foam, more crumbles, put in some toasted caramel pieces and move the topping on top that way you still get the crunchy top with a better presentation??.Nonetheless everything was great.

I moved 9 years ago away from Philly. First time back to Philly and had to go to Buddakan. Guess what? Its as great as ever! Manager seated me at my old “regular table.” Christian the server was amazing! Food was excellent. The calamari salad was as yummy as ever. Eggplant was perfect. All entrées were amazing. Simply amazing consistency. We ate there 3 times before leaving philly for home. Thank you!!!!

I can not even express how impressed I was with this establishment! The food, drinks, service and ambiance was spectacular. Went there for an intimate evening with friends, this place had been recommended and did not disappoint. We got quite a few options and shared plates. We left feeling satisfied and not overstuffed. Pricing was reasonable! Would absolutely recommend! Follow CHASING SHOTS on IG for more photos!

Wonderful dinner at Buddakan. Service was attentive and professional. Atmosphere was upscale and pleasant without being too noisy or crowded. Edamame and General Tso dumplings were fantastic. As were the cauliflower and phad thai. Crab fried rice was dry and bland, though. Lychee cocktail was fantastic. Overall very good meal.

We hadn’t been to Buddakan in years. The quality of the food was nothing like we remembered. We had the ribs, dumpling sampler, chargrilled steak and wasabi mashed potatoes. Everything was pretty mediocre and the potatoes were too salty. The only thing that was quite good was the steak. It was disappointing overall and expensive. We won’t be back.

From the pre dinner cocktails to dessert everything was scrumptious! I had the char grilled steak. It was cooked to perfection and had the best flavor. The Szechuan fries were so fun and yummy! The water cress salad a perfect side. Had the creme brûlée for dessert. I’m a creme brûlée snob and this may have been the best I’ve ever had.

Listennnnnnn I’m not the one to lie the food was so good I couldn’t even post everything because it was so good to share. (Not photo: the crab fried rice & lobster egg rolls) when I say my night was complete food was great! Our waiter Michael the upstairs bartender was great he had very nice hospitality! Me and my date enjoyed it and we will definitely be back soon! Worth every dollar! Thank you! I wish we had room for dessert! ?

Excellent food! If you are looking to expand your palate with delicious asian food you should give it a try. The dishes are full of creativity and the fact that everything is for sharing makes the experience more warm and fun, I have been here a couple of times and it has never been a disappointment. Dumplings are a must have!

Exceptional service. Food? What can I say amazing! My child did very well here she was happy to be able to customize her child’s plate with adding shrimp to her lo mein. They had amazing mock-tails. The only suggestion I would make is to have a more organized entry way it can get a little crowded while waiting to be seated

I have to go this review with my Asian food standard taste buds. The food doesn't quite suit my appetite, especially the Peking duck, I have had way much better ones, the best thing out of everything tonight is probably the steak.Could probably get better and tastier food in China town.I would go here for the atmosphere, but definitely not for the food.
