The food is very good here; however, I can't say the same for the staff. I had to walk up to them several times asking for more water or for the bill because no one was checking on my table. Other than that, the food is amazing, and the portions are quite large.
I eat at bonchon 1-2 times a month. But I never understand why the waitress refuses to come get the money when we’re finished. Friendly overall but standoffish and a bit judgmental. They watch you while eating too. I don’t feel comfortable to continue tipping so high in regards to that behavior. I now prefer pickup, its always a breeze and the door staff are always nice
I despise the online ordering experience but the chicken made it that much worse. So so so so dry. The teokbokki was also slightly sweet which was strange. Not worth the convenient location. I’d much rather go to a different Korean chicken place that’s a lot further.
Had to see what the hype was about and was not disappointed. Very good service and food ! Chicken had a nice crunch and burn but was good and moist on the inside. Yum ! They did not skimp on the quality and freshness of their chicken & wings. Loved the picled radish. Ramen and Shumai was great as well. Busy popular place and had a bit of wait even though it was a week night.
Cheerful greeting as soon as you enter then the waitress , young Ms. Jules of Ecuadorian descent is attentive, outgoing & supportive. The menu consists of tasty, affordable entrees that are a treat. I especially enjoy watching 76ers basketball on one of their many televisions. I don't have pay premium package at home, so this is a good alternative on occasion.
Been here several times, yesterday was my first time since covid. This place seems to have gone downhill and the recent reviews prove it. Place and bathrooms dirty. Chicken strips are now chicken fingers with an unrecognizable batter and barely any sauce. I'll be monitoring reviews before returning.
I normally really like bonchon. I've been going for years, but this location has been inconsistent with their quality. I ordered wings, half soy half spicy and as the picture shows they didn't have any sauce for either flavor. You can also see that the wings were also way overcooked and dry.
I order a fried rice and chicken drum stick my girlfriend just order chicken and a noodles and broth and two ginger ale sodas which we didn't recieve . We order thru door dash an the total was over a hundred dollars.My fried rice was horrible the extra chicken and shrimp I order couldn't be found even with the door dash charges for this meal to cost over a hundred dollar I feel like I was rob the fried chicken was fair but could of spent 80 dollars less at corner Chinese restaurant and had better food sadly disappointed because they were recommended but never again .
I got salmonella from the chicken!! I looked up their most recent report on phila.gov for their last health inspection and it appears that they don’t care that their food is out for contamination AND they don’t clean their kitchen! There’s so many violations on the health inspection sheet. Super unclean & disgusting. Why isn’t this place shut down?? I see their workers not wearing mask either. Don’t eat here.
BEST CHICKEN SPOT IN PHILADELPHIA! I've been too a few around the city but I just can't seem to get enough of bonchon. Definitely a bit more pricey than others but the chicken taste is unique. Never had anything like it and it's borderline addictive lol. Haven't really tried anything else at the spot but the chicken is definitely top par.
