Ordered two western omelets w/cheese, homefries, and two sides of bacon.My western omelet had cracked egg shells. Bacon overcooked w/ burnt taste. Homefries burnt. Worst breakfast I ever had. The last time I visited the food was good. Consistency is paramount.Both my husband and I ended up tossing this $32 breakfast. Won't be buying from there anymore.
A classic American diner experience. The staff and locals really are the heart of a place like this. You walk in an feel instantly at home as they welcome you to any seat you want. The menu has all the staples with a good amount of breakfast and lunch options. I usually stick to the breakfast classics such as eggs and bacon or a breakfast sandwich. If you’re up for having your mind blown, you must try one of their muffins off of the griddle. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. My only complaint is that they are a cash only establishment, but they do have an ATM onsite. I’ll keep coming back though as long as my cup of coffee is always filled ;)
I've lived in the area for ten years and finally tried Bob's dinner. It lives up to its reputation and the food was wonderful with reasonable prices. The ladies were great and attentive, making sure we never ran out of coffee.The dinner itself looks well maintained but not updated. Still has that 1970s feel (in a good way).My only complaint is that in 2022, they are cash only.
This place is a straight dive. The food was not great. Perhaps not whatt I am accustomed to. Sister loved the pancakes. They were a little tasteless for me. The people were nice and friendly.
Love this old school diner. It always makes me happy to eat here.

This place is excellent. It's exactly what you want a diner to be. Old school and beautiful, friendly local staff, hearty and incredible breakfast food, very reasonable price, awesome coffee. It's my go-to and I don't even live in Roxborough. Cash only btw, but they do have an ATM. Plenty of nearby parking, free too if not on Ridge Ave itself. This past visit to Bob's my gf and I split a creamed chipped beef soft pretzel in addition to each of our meals. THAT is innovation. I will be dreaming about it for years to come.
Great breakfast spot! Small and friendly. Glad they made it through the pandemic. Only open 7am-2pm now though.
If you’re looking for great food and excellent service, Bob’s Diner is the place to go. I recently threw a 50th surprise birthday party for my husband at Bob’s Diner, and I was thoroughly impressed. Jim and Trisha could not have done a better job! Erick, the head chef, made some of the most scrumptious stuffed shells and salmon any of us have ever eaten! Jim and Trisha were incredible hosts, and their warmth and friendly demeanor helped put all of my own party planning anxieties to rest. All of my guests loved them too! Whether you’re going out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or planning a party, I would highly recommend Bob’s Diner for great food and excellent service!
do not believe any rating that is less than 5 stars. it’s a diner with the most pleasant and warm staff. what’s the last star that you’re holding off? scrapple too cheap and delicious and fresh? chipped beef on rye spread too thick, delectable and generously? stop being jerks.
